Toronto police are searching a North Dumfries farm owned by accused murderer Dellen Millard.
Officers are combing the Roseville Road property “in relation” to the death of Ancaster man Tim Bosma, explained Const. Victor Kwong of Toronto Police Service (TPS).
“We have information that leads us to believe there is evidence of value to us,” he said, noting TPS had not previously been out to the farm – Hamilton Police Service and Waterloo Regional Police conducted prior searches.
Constable Tony Vella said that officers from the Toronto Police Service’s homicide unit are “conducting a search warrant” Tuesday at the property outside Kitchener, but would not provide more details.
The force’s homicide unit is investigating two files linked to Mr. Millard: the disappearance of his friend Laura Babcock, who was reported missing last July, and the Nov. 29 death of his father Wayne, which was originally deemed a suicide.
Why would Toronto Police Service now be searching the farm? Reason to believe?
Which case is TPS investigating, WM's death?
Investigations into the death of Dellen Millard's father and disappearance of his former girlfriend have brought police back to Millard's North Dumfries farm, police tell CTV News.
A backhoe was reportedly seen at the site Tuesday morning.
Police say they are following up on information received and looking at a particular piece of land, but don’t know what if anything they will find.
