November 20, 2014 at 8:30 pm
Detectives investigating the suspected murder of a 71-year-old man in Logan earlier this year have released new images as they continue to appeal for public assistance.
South Eastern Regional Crime Coordinator Detective Superintendent David Hutchinson said police believe it is likely Mr Hanson was killed at a business address in Woodridge.
“We have identified a number of strong leads throughout the investigation and we have a number of firm suspects,” Detective Superintendent Hutchinson said.
“We believe Mr Hanson may have been killed at a car detailing business which was then at Timms Court at Woodridge.
“He was last seen leaving a Sunnybank shopping centre on the corner of Mains Road and McCullough streets at 9.23am on February 22.
“At that stage he was driving a red Hyundai vehicle.
“We are asking for anybody who has information which may assist this investigation to come forward.
“We are particularly interested in speaking with anybody who can provide information on the movements of Mr Hanson once he left the shopping centre in the red Hyundai.”
Mr Hanson was reported missing by his daughter on March 2.
