Police said Thursday that the deadly stabbing of a woman while she worked at an apartment complex was not random.
Police said they think that Nicole Laube was targeted by someone who knew enough about her to know she was working at the Timber Creek Apartments in the late afternoon Tuesday and sought her out. Detectives said her killer stabbed her outside of the building in the parking lot.

Nicole Laube, of Forest Grove, was a mother, a wife, and an aspiring bodybuilder who started working at the Timber Creek apartment complex three weeks ago.
She was working there Tuesday evening when someone attacked her outside one of the apartment buildings. The attack happened just after 5 p.m. when a man stabbed Laube with some type of sharp object. Laube then ran to a tenant, who called 911. She told someone a man in a dark hoodie stabbed her.
By the time deputies arrived, Laube was unconscious and they were unable to revive her.
