CANADA Canada - Madison Scott, 20, Vanderhoof, BC, 27 May 2011

Seems kind of remarkable to me that people at Fri. night's party last saw her at 3 am on Sat. but weren't suspicious to not see her later that day or at Sat. night's festivities. Did she not have friends at this gathering? Wouldn't they notice that her truck/tent were still there on Sat. night but she wasn't around? Or was Saturday's gathering totally separate from Friday's and not people she knows at all? Just kind of puzzled that her parents are the first to show concern on Sunday afternoon.

The lake where she vanished from is right off Highway 16.

Hmmm.

I knew about this lady being missing and even though I am in BC, I didn't realize that it was close to the Highway 16. Something very wrong is going on with all these missing women in that area. So sad and sickening!

B.C. woman's disappearance 'remains a mystery'

Major crime investigators continue to search for a young Vanderhoof, B.C., woman now missing for almost three months.

Police admit they're baffled by the case.

"Despite an extensive ground, air, water search and interviews, this case remains a mystery," said RCMP Cpl. Annie Linteau. "We're doing everything we can to locate Madison."

In July, Scott's family posted a $15,000 reward and her mother taped a video plea.

The family acknowledged in its latest plea issued Thursday that there is a possibility that Madison Scott's disappearance may be the result of foul play.

"Therefore, we would like to announce that we have increased our reward up to $25,000 for information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of the individual or individuals responsible for her disappearance," her parents said in a release.
Madison Scott, aged 20, disappeared with her iPhone and the keys to her pickup truck, leaving her tent and the vehicle behind.

Missing woman's friends canvas Grey Cup

CBC News

Friends of a missing B.C. woman printed 6,000 flyers to hand out during the Grey Cup event in Vancouver.

Even though six months have gone by, they're determined to find answers.

Scott, 20, disappeared with her iPhone and the keys to her pickup truck, leaving her tent and the vehicle behind.

Police investigators determined that Scott was last seen around 3 a.m. PT at the campsite.

They were looking to speak to anyone who attended that party, or a second one at the same site that night.

Madison Scott still missing after one year

Dear Editor:

Unbelievably, my 20-year-old niece, Madison Scott, remains missing after mysteriously disappearing on Saturday, May 28, 2011, from the Hogsback Lake forestry campsite 25 kilometres south of Vanderhoof, one hour west of Prince George.

[snip]

Maddy remains missing despite a vigorous and in-depth RCMP investigation and ongoing efforts by family and friends. We believe someone knows where she is, but they have not come forward with the truth. The purpose of this letter is to appeal to all British Columbians and visitors to be watchful for and mindful of anything suspicious as they head into the outdoors as spring and summer approaches. Our family needs everyone’s help.
