2011.03.02 Motions Hearing - #2 (PM)

What stands out to me most this morning in this hearing is Casey's appearance.
Physically, she does look nice, hair looks nice, red sweater looks nice...more than likely the exact look that Jose wants her to have through trial.
However, I think they fail to realize that Casey's demeanor is of complete evil, the way she smirks, the way she holds herself...
They can dress her up all day long, but the true side of Mrs. Anthony will go far beyond her clothing and physical appearance come trial.

As NG says, you can put perfume on a pig, but it's still a pig.

Random :waitasec: here. Both GA and CA made sure to represent that they had not reviewed their own depositions or other documents in the case prior to being called to the stand today. That just seems so very far-fetched to me. Wouldn't a good lawyer, prepping their client for the stand, try to make sure that they had reviewed the record, and had more than a vague recollection of what they had said earlier?

Yes if the defense was a good lawyer perhaps. Also I thought LINDA did a great job in re-phrasing the questions - she never asked the same identical question twice nor did she ask CA and GA the SAME questions - this threw them off as their prepared lies were no match for Linda - also their lies when applied to a specific question that canceled out the lie or proved the lie - they became confused and the rope became tighter. Linda knew this going in.

Example of this was the "Escorted" back in the house and "walked back in" - GA was obviously told to use the word "escorted" but had no clue what it meant and the truth was - she walked in on her own. MO

on thing to think about LDB went on and on about GA's law enforcement background. If he really thought she was being arrested, wouldn't he caution her Especially after she came back in the house?

Cindy: I have a possible missing child of a three year old that's been missing for a month

Cindy: I’m trying to do that now ma'am (my note: Cindy still wants Casey arrested even after Caylee is mentioned. I didn't think Cindy mentioned Caylee till the third call. )

Dispatcher: k... What did the person do that you need arrested

Cindy: my daughter

Dispatcher: for what

Cindy: For stealing an auto and stealing money. I already spoke with someone. They said they would patch me through to the Orlando Sheriff's Department have a deputy here. I was in the car... I was going to drive her to the police station and no one's open. They said they would bring a deputy to my home when I got home to call them.

Dispatcher: so she stole your vehicle

Cindy: yes

Dispatcher: when did she do that?

Cindy: on the 30th. I just got it back from the impound. I'd like to speak to an officer. Can you have someone come out to my house?

Cindy: yes
Dispatcher: how old is your daughter?

I can't remember the exact words HHJP used this morning when he said something like "I am still waiting to find out why she had handcuffs on". Anyone else think his tone didn't sound real good.

God forbid he doesn't allow any of her statements in that she made prior to her arrest!

Seems like I distinctly recall watching live coverage in front of Rockingham the day after Nicole Simpson murder where OJ was out front IN HANDCUFFS after he was detained by LE for questioning after he returned from Chicago?

He wasn't even considered a suspect then was he??

I believe the A's just have nothing left to cling to other than trying to blame LE & SA for the situation their MOTY finds herself in.....they can't blame ICA, so their hostility has to go somewhere.....LE & SA are the only targets they have left.....bet the media will get added to that once serious coverage of the trial starts. JMO

And don't forget bloggers and the public in general.CA was wanted everyone to get off their couches (a$#$$)and LOOK for Caylee,but when they did they werestill wrong :banghead:

I do think that Judge Perry knows now why..that the officer who cuffed her thought it was a stolen car case..and cuffs were removed shortly thereafter by instructions of the superior officer..that this was NOT a Stolen Car Case..but a missing child case.....I also do not believe she was even questioned while hand-cuffed???..She was not held against her will, tho Cindy did say she would likely have SAT ON HER if she tried to leave....Hee Hee, me thinks Casey was more arrested by Mommy than any LE..:floorlaugh:

If after they removed the cuffs, the officers testify that they TOLD her she was NOT under arrest, will that matter at all?
