Alyce and the DP mitigation specialist just came out of chambers. Juan and Flores went back into chambers.

Btw, all this conversation is happening on the trial thread too so come and join us :)

Good grief! How would you like to be a juror coming to 'work' everyday and being told you can't actually do anything til some random time....must be extremely frustrating. You have to wonder if it colors the attitudes of those who hold your fate in their hands.

I really hope she warned them about their behavior in court :furious:

Sam and Steven have been called to chambers now per Beth K

First up, stop being so nice. Seriously, how we can help you? I am on the other side of the pond but would a basic FAQ being set up help for those wanting to attend court? Is it worth turning your PMs off for a bit - just till you are no longer exhausted? It's not as if you don't have a lot going on at the moment anyhow.

That FAQ is a good idea but neither of us have the time to do that. And honestly, that's not our job. We figured things out on our own and we are knee deep in to this trial and our lives and we just can't be responsible for things like that.

I think PASA did do this awhile back and if someone wants to find that and post it that would be great but from this point on we just need to deal with what's right in front of us and posting and maintaining our own health/energy and that's already becoming a whole lot to manage.

Thanks for understanding! :seeya:

@kcl you think they got a good lashing from the Judge??

I was told there are 60+ people in the waiting area to get into the trial. I know with that many I won't get in. So I'm going to stay home, watch the trial on the feed and rest.
For whatever reason I've been very tired the last few days.

Sorry I won't be there for observations today. :)

May our jaunderful Gallery Girls (and Guys) be surrounded today by people who maintain proper courtroom decorum , who contain their emotions, and who smell fresh and clean.

You courtroom observers are a blessing to us outsiders and we hang on every word of your reported observations and impressions.

It gives us peace of mind to know that PASA is prepared with her bag of necessities and that KCL is keen-eyed and ready to advocate!

BBM
Busted! LOL! I even got one of those room sprays, Island Margarita in case the lady with lemon isn't there. ;)
I'm not going today, too many people, no chance to get in. I think KCL may go this afternoon if she gets a chance.
Thanks for giving me a chuckle, much appreciated. :)

Listen guys I'm feeling the need to make a PSA.

Those of us attending court and posting and the other things we are doing are starting to get bombarded with pm's and requests for info about attending the trial and other things related to our specific knowledge.

We can't keep up with them. When I saw "we" I more than anything mean "me".

I am cleaning out my PM box several times a day. I know I'm missing notes to reply to that could be important out of just pure volume.

I know this is also happening to my "Peanut".

Please please please if you have something to offer, by all means. If you have a question that is immediate and can't be answered any other way, ok.

Please just realize we are juggling MANY things at once and we are also trying to simply watch the trial like everyone else and we are to varying degrees, exhausted. And we can't keep up with the many questions that are coming our way.

I hate to have to post this as I'm not scolding anyone but just offering a plea for assistance.

Also if you don't hear from me after a PM that doesn't have a specific need for a reply it doesn't mean I don't care it just means there is no time to keep up.

Thanks...love you all.

don't worry, that is totally reasonable, i am waiting to send you my ty pm's til court is done cuz you are so busy :heartbeat:

Just to make it clear, anything not requiring a response is totally cool...I do appreciate the support/thankyous/love sent my way that I can just drink in. It's just that we've also gotten requests for info, requests to pass info along, things like that. Just no time to do what we are already doing...but please know I do appreciate all the support and read it all..just don't reply to it all as it's so much. xo

Hi guys (ANJ check your email):

Ok I'm going for the pm session AND I've been approached from one of the news shows and may be appearing tonite to discuss this ALV approaching issue.

All I know is I was told by my Victims Rights Attorney that "you as a victim have the right to not be contacted". Well, like all laws, there are descriptions and details so I guess it's you have the right to not be contacted with certain motivations by the "contactor" according to how the law is defined (sigh).

This is no way diminishes my OUTRAGE over what ALV did and find it highly IMPROPER for her to contact a member of Travis' family, uninvited and unwarranted much less right in the middle of their testimony.

Can you imagine if , say, JM's psych expert who we've yet to see, were to testify about Jodi's murderous rage and describing her as deserving of the death penalty (which is essentially what ALV is saying about Travis) and then walking off the stand and right up to Jodi's mother and getting in her face when she's not even looking?

Anyway, the witness, her background and career devotion, the timing, the invasion of personal space...it's just all so egregious to me and descriptive of who she REALLY IS that it needs to go CHECKED not UNCHECKED.

The reporters are discussing it today (I know, one of them just called me) so hopefully we will either see a PUBLIC sanction on ALV by Judge S today or it will get reported. The reporter is also looking for it archived on the feed...I'd love to see it played over and over on TV for people to see it just as I did. YOu will be probably see my bug eyes and jaw drop in the background.

We will see...........in the meantime gonna watch the trial on the feed w/ the rest of you.

I so hope this gets out into the public. I can't believe it's being kept so quiet. If it had been a prosecution witness it would be on every news station in the country.

Thank you for staying on the case, you are a champion for Travis and his family.

Legal or not she should have never gone up to anyone related to the victim and said anything. She makes me absolutely ill.

If anyone out there is so inclined and is able to find it, I'd like to find the section where ALV called Travis the worst case of abuse she'd seen. In my notes this is what I have in terms of timing (it's after the noon break Thurs and before she approached Sam):

We've heard/seen this all before right? Worse names? Worse than sociopath which btw isn't a name, it's a descriptor.
She wasn't afraid, she loved it--attention!

Oh so now she's making Travis out to be the worst abuser she's ever seen.....right.
Talk about character assasination!

Why didn't they show this IM convo w/ Jodi on the stand? Must be negative toward her.

"*advertiser censored*'s job?"

I want to remember exactly what she said re: this being the worst case of abuse she's seen. Anyone help?

I will look for it. I think it was towards the end of ALVs testimony before cross.

Hey, KCL, you are correct that the victim has a legal right not to be contacted directly by the defense. This would include a defense witness, IMO, only if the person were acting as an intermediary for the defense to, e.g., request an interview with the victim, tell the victim about a plea offer, or otherwise try to circumvent communicating through the prosecutor about the case. However, the judge is legally required to minimize the victim's contact with defense witnesses if requested, even if the contact doesn't violate the law about the defense team communicating with victims.

So you can definitely still say on TV that this is kind of contact is a legal issue that the judge needs to resolve. If that doesn't make sense, PM me. :)
