So, if there is predation it can be argued one way and if none argued another.

That cell phone turning on after 4 am is pivotal when it comes to proving the why, how and who.

JMO MOO JMT
Pivotal how? Now, I'm confused. I posted earlier, Libby's phone was connecting with a cell tower in the area on Feb. 13 but stopped at 5:44 p.m.

Baldwin said Libby's phone, somehow connected to a cellphone tower at 4:33 a.m. on Feb. 14.

So the defense states the girls were removed and then brought back, thus why her phone allegedly reconnected to the tower.

No.

A stationary cell phone can automatically reconnect to a cell tower after losing signal on its own, as long as there is a tower within range and the phone is actively searching for a signal; it will periodically attempt to re-establish a connection with the nearest available tower.

I guess we can only wait for the transcript of Johns testimony to be sure then, since we cannot take anyone else's word on anything. I wonder if we'll ever get those or have to wait until well after trial is over?

I’m tuning into the page of What Matters Most. It’s easy to get bogged down on things like sighting of the two deer or the location of Libby’s shoes but I don’t think contradictory details of that nature will influence whether or not Richard Allen is convicted of the murders of Abby and Libby. Besides the jury is hearing only one version.

That’s just my opinion though. But in other trials I’ve followed it’s not unusual for pretrial discussion to not always align with later testimony. MOO

Is it correct information that JG is not letting the public view the exhibits, even though they are allowed to do so under the law? Or is it discretionary and the judge can set different rules?
Here are about 4-5 tweets that explain how the judge was irritated but and to relent to licenced media. However....she restricted the viewing enormously.

I agree, it doesn’t make any sense. Filing under an incorrect name is inconsequential compared to the contents within that tip. It should’ve been easily out sorted through any standard IT program, regardless of the input data file and incorrect name.

I’ve wondered if LE received another tip in 2022 on RA of Whiteman Dr and LE offered anonymity to that tipster until trial. Then it was knowledge of RA’s claim speaking with DD that caused a second look at the earlier misfiled one. IE Perhaps RA claimed he’d been ‘cleared’, even the tip marked accordingly in error.

I could further wildly speculate that RA learned of all the details of this 2022 tip (including the identity of the tipster) and that’s the reason he sought religion and felt compelled to express multiple confessions for the sake of forgiveness. But this is only my speculation!
I think you may be right. I so want to know about the interviews from August, September and early October 2022.

In a perfect world, LE reports on every bullet they spend/fire

IMO
And I doubt the LE responding seeing two dead bodies and the traumatized searchers who found them would need to upholster their guns anyway.

I can wait for the DT and State to air everything out so that we are all hopefully clear on the importance of that cell phone or not.

There could be a number of reasons as to why there was a signal or not that same day and overnight.

None of that negates the fact that the location where they were found had been searched the evening prior.
Can you provide link on that.
From what I have read, the search focused to the west of the bridge and a little upstream to the east, on the worry that they had fallen from from the bridge and so would be swept down stream since Deer Creek flows east to west.

I think we'll have to wait until the trial is over and hope for someone with deep pockets to pay for them and share!

As always, JMO.
I think that is exactly what will have to happen. The waiting is tough.

show the jury that the Defense is full of hot air.
IMO this is still obsessing too much about defense. If the case against RA is so slam dunk then Bam, theres nothing the defense can do to avoid a conviction.

@KaitlynReports

The defendant’s wife, mother, stepfather, and a few others have been present.I have not yet seen his daughter.

Did the Defense not say they were calling RA's mother to testify? And is not KA listed on the P's witness list? If they're going to be called I'm wondering about the Exclusion of witness rule. Doesn't it apply?

The search was called off at one point and not resumed until 6 am. I acknowledge that some searchers continued despite that but many less than were there earlier. I can’t remember when the search was called off. I know LE have taken some flak for that. MOO
We read earlier that the official calling off was 2am, and back at 6am. And yes we read earlier a few continued to search.... However, I've never read where LE have taken flak for that. Can you post a link?

In my opinion, I think we all say things from time to time, to our trusted friends, that we hope isn't released for public consumption. Sometimes maybe even things we'd like to do, but either have no way of actually doing it, or even if we did, never would. I suppose if the authorities were alerted to it and did nothing about it, it's a non-issue for BM, the defense team, or the trial.

As always, JMO.
I don’t know whether the ethics questions have been settled. Have they?

The defense seating is interesting because I’m not aware of anyone else provided seating by prosecution or defense who is not a party to the case and thus subject to the gag order. If Motta is now a defense party, when was that arrangement confirmed, and did the information he streamed at any point violate the gag order that covered defense parties?

I hope his involvement in the dissemination of protected information — including photos of deceased children, one of whom was nude — is thoroughly investigated as to whether there were any ethical or criminal breaches and whether there were any profit-driven motivations driving his actions. Criminal perpetuators are not the only persons motivated to sell salacious materials, either overtly or via illegal means.

JMO.

I want to hear from RA, bring on the confessions. That will have to wait a bit until after crime scene and COD details are done. MO

Thank you! So she is actually going against the rules and regulations in not allowing the public in to view them. Maybe she's allowed in some way to do so? Looks like the media is looking into it
Because I haven't researched the Indiana's Access to Public Records Act, I don't know if it applies to the public. I know it applies to the Media. It seems it is the Media that has the weight to file a motion with the judge. Which they did.

  • #858
During Alex Murdaugh trial only media were allowed to view evidence at end of each day.
Yes but there were cameras in the courtroom for that trial and exhibits, with a few exceptions like the crime scene and autopsy photos, were seen by whatever public was interested to tune in.

All jury trials are unpredictable. No one ever says a case is slam dunk. Killers can and do go free.
Casey Anthony is one example.
