AP's are hard, and this breaks my heart every time. AJ really worked hard, played hard, she was an All American scholar athlete already, so imagine with the wisdom her short life brought to her, and how she got past, where she would have gone with all her potential.

Just wanted to say that this has been a big few weeks for the Longwood softball team. They won the Big South Championship! I think AJ would've eventually been on the team, had she lived. Every time I remember this season and victories, I will link it to AJ's memory.

They are $87 before waivers from the College Board & the state of VA. Many Norfolk students don't pay for their first exam. First meaning if they take more than one AP course. Also, after that first free test, the exams are typically reduced to about $15 per each additional exam (due to fundraising) unless they qualify for assistance, in which case all exams cost $0.
The check she's referring to wouldn't have had anything to do with paying for the test. It would've been linked to AJ's test performance. Essentially, a reward as part of a grant program that NPS has participated in.
