Plead not guilty. $2M bond.
The 23-year-old mother conducted online searches for "ways to suffocate" and "ways to kill human with no proof" & those included “16 steps to kill someone & not get caught about an hour before she notified authorities her baby had ceased breathing, police said. Also searched whether drowning could show up in an autopsy report, "suffocating and smothering" and how to commit the perfect murder.
9/5/18 Update: Arraignment hearing plead not guilty. At the arraignment her lawyer said that she now goes by her maiden name of Bilecki. Omnibus hearing on 9/27, Calendar Call on 10/5, trial to be scheduled on Oct. 15 but will likely be set off for a later date, as is common in homicides and other serious felony cases.

Okay - strange - they cancel the 5/5 hearing bc of virus, but scheduled one for the next day.... wondering if 5/6 has not been also cancelled and rescheduled for 6/2 Status hearing....

The 23-year-old mother conducted online searches for "ways to suffocate" and "ways to kill human with no proof" & those included “16 steps to kill someone & not get caught about an hour before she notified authorities her baby had ceased breathing, police said. Also searched whether drowning could show up in an autopsy report, "suffocating and smothering" and how to commit the perfect murder.
Trial was set to begin on 9/30/19-vacated, continued to 4/20/20 moved to 5/18/20 has been cancelled due to COVID19, no further dates available.
