Heflin PD seeking assistance in identifying remains of woman found in 1990

Her remains were sent to the Alabama Department of Forensic Science and the following details were determined about the woman: a female with shoulder-length brown hair and possible highlights between the ages of 22 and 34, approximately 5 feet to five feet, four inches tall and approximately 100 to 120 pounds.

Authorities believe the woman possibly went missing in 1988 or 89.

From the City of Heflin website (my emphasis added):

The City of Heflin located in North East Alabama is the county seat for Cleburne County. Heflin is Alabama’s gateway to the Southern Applachain Mountains and is home to a variety of outdoor recreation activities. Located directly between Atlanta, GA (72 Miles) and Birmingham, AL (75 miles)..... According to Wiki it's a small town - less than 3,500 people, so highly probable the UID was an out-of-towner.

Namus doesn't say which part of Evans Bridge Rd (aka County Rd 84) she was found near, however that road runs from the township through a wooded area and then appears to join the I-20.

Some more ideas:

MP7350 Rebecca Ferguson, missing from 100mi away in Jasper since September 1988 is another possibility AL - AL - Rebecca Ferguson, 32, Jasper, 16 September 1988 (websleuths.com) Though her hair appears to be dark brown, not light brown, I assume the elements can bleach colour out.

MP703 Becky Annette Minish aka Becky Annette Edmondson (who I don't see in Namus) also seems a possibility, missing from Augusta GA since March 1987 and it's a straight drive down I20 Becky Annette Minish – The Charley Project
GA - GA - Becky Minish, 19, Augusta, 17 March 1987 (websleuths.com)

MP2351 Brenda Kay Green – The Charley Project Missing from Brookwood AL since July 1988. Not much information on her case AL - AL - Brenda Green, 15, Brookwood, 2 July 1988 (websleuths.com)

Frankie Viola Hurst – The Charley Project (not in Namus) Called her mother in SC on 14 May 1989 from Kansas to say she was coming home; one of the potential routes is I20. Known to hitchhike.

HEFLIN, Ala. (WBMA) — The remains of a woman found off Evans Bridge Road in Heflin are still unidentified over 30 years after being found, according to the Heflin Police Department.

Police said the woman's skeletal remains were discovered in a wooded area by a logging company on February 3, 1990.

The woman's remains were sent to the Alabama Department of Forensics Science for DNA testing but as of now, police said only a limited of information about her identity is available.
