IMO always like that.
You see her as abnormal because she is. Guilty or not...there is something VERY seriously wrong with Knox....in an Arias kinda way. IMO
now the issue is army boots? and wearing them shows a lack of maturity?
then i guess i'm immature too lol
army (or combat or military) boots are very "in" these days and have been "in" for quite some time. the look has gone mainstream (as opposed to just for grunge/warfare) and is hugely popular on campus (is AK not a college student?) and in the celeb world.
it's not surprising to me that one could interpret that the lack of evidence against amanda knox proves her guilt in the murder of MK beyond a reasonable doubt and then also use something inoccuous/unoffending like army boots to assert (negatively) that she's this or that...
as for the halloween costume... what type of burglar wears a soccer scarf? seems this would have been a much more appropriate prop imo
I didnt follow her trial and only know about it from her interviews. I wouldnt even try to figure out if she is guilty or not. But that interview unnerved me. I do not know why.
IMO people instinctually know when something is very "off" with someone, even if you can put your finger on it. I think it's a evolutionary survival instinct everyone has. Always listen to your instincts and go with your gut when encountering someone that makes you feel that way. RUN the other way...don't walk ...RUN!
I think her role models in life are very confusing to her, and she seems to have a dysfunctional relationship with both parents, who did not see eye to eye with her going in the first place. She needed to individuate from both parents which is normal behaviour for young people. She was just in no way ready for it. There were issues irresponsibility before she left.
So she left as a damaged immature irresponsible drug using thrill seeker.
Her sojourn in Germany points to more immature resistance being responsible. She left the relatives with egg on their faces in a very public way, after the trouble they went to find her some work experience.
She was seeking unfettered thrills away from parental exposure, another normal thing for a young person to do.
But doing it anonymously on a train in public in Europe is extremely risky behaviour, no wonder they tested her for HIV, it was a highly likely outcome along with many STD's.
She continues her risky behaviours, but now involves her flat mates who express concerns about their own risk, because she brought random anonymous men back to the flat. She only lived there a short time, and on top of this there were issues with her personal hygiene which needed to be addressed. She was the same age as Meredith, and Meredith had no issues of personal hygiene.
I think they were right about her unconventional behaviour, it wasn't quirky, it was very very risky.
She appears oblivious to her effects on others
Now she was adding drugs into the mix of irresponsible immature behaviour, and hooks up with a similarly damaged young man with violent fantasies of a highly pornographic nature and a drug habit who is also irresponsibly immature, but a little older and maybe more damaged.
They had each 'lost' a parental figure during development, which can leave horrific scarring and buckets of repressed anger, but for a while they were free of 'nagging parents' externally physically, and internally too.
The were both behaving like immature uncontrolled id's of children.
Now we have two damaged irresponsible immature personalities both fleeing parental exposure, thrill seeking and drugged up to the eyeballs on who knows what.
They are very sexually attracted to each other, but can't really converse because they have limited understanding of the others language, so shallow passions at best, fuelled by drug use.
So they don't even know each other, just full of lust and more thrills away from any parental censure.
Meredith behaved like a responsible person and addressed issues with AK.
In AK's mind she may well have viewed this as parental censure, when she wanted to be an irresponsibly free child.
It was a dynamic that shouldn't be ignored...
I have absolutely no trouble believing that they are responsible for this crime. But they continue their irresponsible behaviour now helped by their parents, when it is far too late.
They even seek to profit from it whatever the skewed motivations are.
Her father has stated publicly that she will receive no counselling, which is another element of risky behaviour altogether. If she does have PTSD and she might, that is of no help to her at all.
As a 'mature' although very damaged individual, she should decide her counselling, not him.
I'm starting to have some difficulty with immense number of victims in this case.
It begins with Meredith Kercher and Patrick Lumumba, but there are hundreds more, including a whole country who have done nothing wrong but exercise their right for Justice on behalf of the victims.
Two damaged drugged up nobodies is chicken feed in a highly cultural sophisticated environment.
Thanks. That's a definite possibility. If she presented herself to police and prosecutor in the same way that she presented during her interview ... scripted, appearing to be working hard to suppress something (perhaps an emotion), it's not surprising that police were interested in talking with her about her activities before, during and after the murder. Her shifting story, similar to what we have seen in her book, doesn't help.
In the book, she still doesn't explain what she did during the critical hours on the night Meredith was murdered. We get the usual stories about making dinner and watching the Amelie movie, but we know that all of that was finished before 8:40. We have the story of Sollecito waking up at 10 AM, but we know that is a lie because he turned on his phone at 6 AM.
Selective memory problems....HUGE red flag
Behaviorally and the lies, she screams guilty. IMO
I just posted above, but it took me so long the thread moved on lol...

Is her family rich?
Hey, maybe mature women wear army boots as a fashion statement at the office or the PTA meeting in Seattle, but it doesn't sound like a common thing.
Does this look like a burglar outfit with a scarf because of the October weather, or a sports outfit?
She looks like she is channelling Salvador Dali.
I'm not sure what it's meant to be.
Celebrity murderers are all over the news ... look at Arias. It's murdertainment at its best! ... why not have a poorhouse-making lawyer, or two, riding the coattails?
It's a halloween costume. The question is:
Is Knox dressed as a soccer player or as a cat burglar or as Salvador Dali?
Why do these people make media rounds which can be used against them when they are not out of trouble? I dont get it.
Salvator Dali as a Burglar
Perhaps it's like her Beattles t-shirt on Valentine's Day - a statement.
Even so, it's in very poor taste ... kind of like Prince Harry dressing as Hitler for Halloween - an embarrassment to the family (and in Harry's case, the country).
Based on the art work we've seen, I'd say that Knox is no artist.
Is it a Halloween costume, Salvador Dali, A Killer, Cat Burglar or Soccer Player?
I'm not sure she even knows who she is...
Athletes normally wear shorts and cold people in Seattle on Halloween might wear a scarf, especially if they left the coat in the car. That scarf might represent a soccer team, but that doesn't mean that her halloween costume means that she's dressed like a soccer player. She appears to be dressed as a cat burglar (mustache) with her keys and a plastic bag in her hands, a fisherman's toque (burglar), army boots (mature woman) for Halloween. I'm not seeing the athlete, and she's still no artist.
As for Salvador Dali, didn't he paint pictures of girls? ... and even if she is Halloweening as Salvador Dali, it is Knox's imaginings of Salvador Dali, why isn't he wearing a sports outfit when wearing a sports scarf on a cold October evening in Seattle?
Her TV performance was like a sociopath trying to fake the right emotion ... that is one of the weirdest interviews I've ever seen. It gave me the willies - full of illogical connections (feigned understanding), nervous aggitation, scripted responses and rediculous claims about wanting to visit Meredith's grave.
