AR AR - Brooke Allensworth, 37, Oil Trough, 12 July 2018

  • #21
Last seen on July 12th.
Her father reported her missing July 26th.

She has three children - it was July when she went missing so they would have been out of school and at home, wouldn’t they have called someone when she didn’t come home? Where were her children all that time?

Where was Brooke employed? Was there any coworkers that know anything?

Two weeks without being reported missing?

Was it normal for her to disappear from her children or work?

What a scary case. Reminds me of a case I can't find right now of a girl in Texas who was driving home from a night club and never made it home, and her car was found abandoned on the highway also. :(

It says she had changed her hair color right before her disappearance- why hasn’t an updated picture been posted? She may look very different with blonde hair.
If I went from brown to blonde I would have taken a picture!
Also her poster says she had two left shoes on. Why- did she leave in a hurry?

Her father told Searcy police that she may be in the area of Batesville, Newport, Jacksonport or Searcy. He said she was either last seen in the Newark and Newport area July 10 and possibly July 12 in Searcy after having a disagreement with her estranged ex-husband Brad Durham.

Her last name is Durham but since she divorced, she is going by her maiden name -- Allensworth.

Brooke's car, a 2007 black Toyota Camry, was found the day after she was reported missing and looked as if it had been abandoned for a while. "

An Independence County Sheriff said, "the investigation into her disappearance shows the flat occurred while Brooke was traveling from Newport to Searcy. A passerby temporarily fixed it with a can of fix-a-flat, but when it went flat again, she pulled over by the bridge near Oil Trough, where deputies found the vehicle after being called to the area."

I’m glad you put this text from the article here as the link is not working now. :( I can’t find an article mentioning her estranged ex husband any longer.

This isn’t new info below. I just wanted to add some article links that are still working.

https://www.nbcnews.com/dateline/arkansas-mother-three-brooke-allensworth-still-missing-after-car-found-n1023326

A Facebook post by the Independence County Sheriff’s Office said police spoke with “several individuals” who had contact with Brooke in the days preceding her disappearance. Though no information led them to Brooke’s whereabouts, tips started coming in from multiple counties and the case was transferred to the Arkansas State Police Department.

The Arkansas State Police Department declined to comment on Brooke’s disappearance, citing the ongoing criminal investigation.

Another woman, Brooke Lairson Allensworth, has been missing from Oil Trough Arkansas since July of 2018.

Allensworth was last seen in Oil Trough, on July 11, 2018.

She was driving her black 2007 Toyota Camry from Newport,
to Searcy when she got a flat tire.

She attempted to fix the flat, but the fix apparently didn't last.

She never arrived at her destination.

According to a source, Lewellyn is being questioned in the disappearance of Allensworth as well.

I wonder if her ex was ever questioned?

  • #34
I wonder why they are questioning Quake about her? Is it just because she went missing out of the blue like Sydney, so they need to cover all possibilities? Is it because maybe Q has mentioned her? Just a few thoughts, that are JMO.

On July 25, one day after Allensworth was reported missing, and her car was found at the Highway 122 White River Access in Oil Trough, Arkansas on July 25. The keys were not in the car, although Allensworth's cellular phone and cigarettes were, and it appeared the driver had just parked it there and walked away.

Allensworth is a nurse and a single mother of three children. The circumstances of her disappearance are unclear.

Also noted:
- Some agencies refer to Allensworth by her second married name, Brooke Durham. - She dyed her hair blonde several days prior to her disappearance.
- Investigating agency for Brooke is Independence County Sheriff's Department.
- Link for social media connection between victims and L's family
-question about where Brooke's car was actually found abandoned since local media reports it as being found left on a boat launch?
- Dateline did an episode on Brooke's disappearance.

Just adding these links and questions on the thread from Sydney Sutherland, where they were originally posted.

In addition, Quake Lewellyn’s wife, Gracie Dawn Lewellyn was connected to the deceased woman on Facebook. (See screen shot).

More to come as the story develops.

Notes and questions:

1. Do we have a map of where Brooke's car was found abandoned? Was it under a bridge or on a boat ramp (I've seen both mentioned)? Were there any bodies of water nearby?

2. Was she last seen in Searcy after having a disagreement with estranged ex-husband, Brad Durham (per her father's statement)? Does Brad Durham know Llwelynn?

3. The person who helped with the flat is noted by family in an earlier thread. How do they know she pulled over because it was flat again? Did she contact anyone to tell them? How far was she from Searcy when this happened--and how long after the convo with her ex?

4. Allensworth's cellular phone and cigarettes were in the car--and though the media notes that "it appeared the driver had just parked it there and walked away", it's very hard for me to believe anyone walks away with their keys but leaves their cell phone in the car. Red flag here. Sounds like someone stopped to "help" Brooke and she was quickly incapacitated. MOO.

Your question #2 is one I’m curious about too. Were they both arrested the same night in Jackson County? I’m seeing Quake arrest date of 08/21/20 @ 6:43pm and Brad arrest date @ 9:23pm - about 3 hours later. No clue if it’s the same guy as her ex husband but does have same name as the guy arrested based on what I’m seeing on RPS inmate info app.
