Unless I missed it I don't see Mary on the ruleout list. Her reported eye color and height are not a match but those could be incorrect. Her nose shape is what caught my attention. EDJD has a distinct nose:

I also agree. I have had Mary's Charley Page open on my computer for months because everytime I look at her I see features that make me think of EDJD. It sounds like you feel really strongly she could be a match. I just saw her picture for the first time yesterday on another thread and thought her nose was similar to EDJD. But I'm not sure... Please feel free to submit Mary if you want (or if anyone else wants to). I prefer to just discuss cases here, I don't usually send things in. Thanks.

Does anyone know if there in any information about EDJD's previous pimps? I know we always hear the most about McAlphin but not much about the other ones. I've seen their names and I thought one was tied to the bible she had (might be wrong on this) but do we know much about either one of them? Just curious.

As far as past crimes go only LE can say if they want to pursue them. As far as any info that McAlpin gave..I personally think he’s full of it.
I keep an eye on this case and the past few months it seemed as if LE didn’t want to cooperate with different people/groups asking about DNA. I think this is a good reminder that LE doesn’t have to share their investigation into an open case.
I’m theorizing that the East Area Rapist bring captured has motivated more and more LE to look at DNA submitted to Ancestry sites...which also has its pros and cons.

EDJD has never been a DNA Doe Project case, and it was unlikely if she could ever be one. According to Margaret Press of the DDP the DNA they refer to in NamUs was only CODIS markers, and the testing conducted by DDP would require much, much more, and not the same markers. AFAIK, EDJD was cremated, so getting that extra sample to extract sufficient amount of DNA for DDP to work on isn't possible.

Regardless of what James McAlphin said I know there are several of us here that have felt like EDJD's closest family members have always known. I guess there could be some exceptions, like if her mother gave her up at a young age or had passed away. Other than something like that its hard to believe they wouldnt know.
Sometimes your pride can be hard to swallow. Maybe if this is for real and it gets enough exposure someone will go ahead and come forward.

Hoping 2019 is the year for my girl! Still makes you wonder if she really does have kids out there somewhere. Will they be able to find them, or will that stay a mystery too? Got my fingers crossed you, EDJD!
I live less than 2 hours away from Eldorado. I’m always shocked that people don’t know about this case. Honestly, I can’t name one person in my life(outside of true crime forums) who is aware of /interested in this case. We become invested in this case, bc we put time into searches and become emotionally involved. The family that was found wasn’t aware of the case, and they aren’t too far from Arkansas, and one even Commented about being an ID fan(so one can presume she has an interest in true crime). Yet,I have seen nothing that leads me to believe she was aware of this case before being contacted by LE. So, I don’t think it’s out of the realm for the other side of her family to be unaware of her demise. If she left at 18 and kept little contact, they could think she just went on her way and wanted to be left alone.
When I was growing up, my father would go years without speaking to his parents. There was never a blow up or bad blood, he just lived his life(in some ways off the grid)He was very much an introvert and didn’t seek relationships with others. My parents divorced when I was young, so I too, realized early on how he was. While they wanted a relationship, they accepted how he was and just let him be. I think families often “let them go” out of love.
Maybe that’s what her maternal family did. Maybe they are unaware of this case..the same as her paternal family.
Will definitely be interesting to see how it all unfolds.

Ya did not think about that ! A DNA match in the case of adoption would be pretty worthless ! frustrating!
Well, if they could come up with the mothers name then LE could obtain the adoption records and find out her identity. Now whether or not they could ever release that information to the public I dont know.
Wow I’m sure we have discussed her on here as a possible. The circumstances and dates would work and the family did say that one side of them is the carters. If it is her then the mystery would be what happened to her between the age she disappeared and her becoming an adult.
