  • Circumstances of Disappearance
Jordan was driving from Fargo ND in his green Kia Soul. His vehicle broke down on I-40 between the White Oak exit and the interchange to 430 near Little Rock.

Jordan was facetiming a friend around 6:30pm and said the tow truck was there and they could give him a ride to his hotel.

Jordan never made it to the hotel and the vehicle was not towed that night.

Jordan had a bus ticket waiting for him in North Little Rock but he never made it to his destination of New Orleans.

Last seen March 06, 2022 in Little Rock, AR.

How odd. I wonder if family was able to contact the towing company from March 6.
I hope Jordan is okay.
I noticed on NamUs his license plate is expired, also odd for a 20+ hr drive.

‘I just want to know that he’s safe’: Missing Fargo man last seen in Arkansas

His last known actions was waiting for a tow truck after his car broke down. After talking with people on the phone, he hasn’t been heard since.

“His phone has been off for this whole time too, with no location, that’s really unusual for him,” said Jayla Simeon. “He would usually reach out as he did when his car broke down. So going without a phone after that for so many days and not reaching out to anybody is unusual for him.”

Curious to what towing company was called and what they’ve shared so far…

Me too. The sister says his car was "abandoned," but there doesn't seem to be indication of where. Was it still sitting on the side of I-40 or did the tow truck Jordan reported having arrived move his car to another location?

Years ago I had a friend with a tow truck, when money was tight, he would cruise around Hot Springs at night looking for drunks in ditches. So, I have to wonder if the tow truck Jordan said was there was someone out cruising for business as opposed to the company that had been called.

ASP is notoriously tight lipped about investigations so we aren't likely to get any information that doesn't come directly from the family.

i wonder if the friend saw anything about the tow truck. Clearly something is wrong, because JS said he was WITH the tow truck. I wonder why they didn't tow the car even if they hurt him.

Was the bus ticket and hotel arranged after his car broke down?

Unclear.

I got the impression that there was a bus ticket waiting in NLR at the Greyhound station since NamUs actually used North Little Rock in their info. Why he drove from Fargo to Little Rock only to board a bus to New Orleans is a mystery to me. Why not buy a bus ticket to NOLA in the first place?

I feel like there is a lot of info being left out. Like whats up with Starla, the girl who's name is on his arm? That the personal stuff he's dealing with?

I really want to know where the ASP recovered his car from. His last known location isn't far from the Arkansas River. It's not uncommon for people go into the Arkansas around I-430 (a lot of parks on that section of the river), some on accident, some on purpose, they almost never come out alive.

Interesting. In my opinion I had inferred from the sources that the hotel and bus had been arranged after Jordan contacted family about the broken-down car and not that the car was a coincidence with the itinerary.

Starla left this world on the wings of an angel on Nov. 21, 2013, after a long, courageous battle with Huntington's disease, with her mother and family by her side. Starla leaves behind a daughter… and a son, Jordan,

It is possible he called a tow truck and the tow truck showed up but did not tow the car and left.
For example, if he had AAA they could refuse to tow the car because the license plate is invalid (expired).
The tow company may have asked for payment up front and he didn't have the money.

I was thinking along those same lines, the towing company either wanted immediate payment or the charge was going to be more than Jordan could afford. If that was the case, why didn't he call his friends/family to let them know...he was just facing time with a friend. Did his phone battery die? Did he not want to bother them again and began walking to the nearest exit leading to the hotel that been arranged?

I read his sister's comment stating that the engine blew up and they had it towed off the highway as her saying that she called the tow company after he was already missing, not that he was there when it was towed....is that correct?

Entirely possible, but as someone else said, why not call his sister back? His phone shouldn't have been dead, even if the motor is blown the battery will hold up for a couple of hours for lights and phone charging.

There doesn't seem to be any more info from the sister.

The good news is, it looks like Pulaski County is working the case instead of the ASP, which means there might be information forthcoming.

He is symptomatic with Huntington’s disease (a common Websleuths theme?), so IMO it makes sense he might just walk away.
It just didn’t make sense to me to walk away once the first tow truck had shown up, so I think this theory is a good fit.
Gosh, I hope he is all right.

The sister posted again yesterday that JS is still missing - no other updates.

I'm not too familiar with Huntington's Disease, but know it can include movement, cognitive and psychiatric disorders. Wondering if he became overwhelmed by the series of events, and has "chosen" to reman missing or foul play is involved and something nefarious happened after the car broke down.
