You see diligence. I see scores of people being thrown in jail and named in the press without solid proof of a crime.

This is a rural area, with roads and homes. The child was not in a remote area where he would be hopelessly lost. He is an intelligent 5 yr old and was not far from where his grandmother and father were. He could have easily found them, given the chance to do so.

If this was just a lost child, why all the tampering of the crime scene, and made up accusations? Why would someone plant his shoe in th wrong location?

And why would someone make false accusations, swearing in court that another couple ran him over. There was even blood found in the car and damages on th exterior. And those seem to have been falsified---so more tampering, in order to frame someone.

WHY frame others with a serious crime if this is a simple case of a child who simply wandered off?

Why does the Police Commissioner lie in his reports and urge some of his officers to falsify their logs?

I agree there is no solid evidence yet, that we know of---but that seems to be because of all the deflections and tampering and deceitful testimony. I've never seen all that in a simple case of a lost child. JMO

It makes me sad and angry, because a five year old kid is missing and with the chaos happening I can't see him being found.

This news station is pretty impartial and try to present the facts rather than speculate, they're saying that the prosecutors are seeking to have Macarena detained.

They also try and clear up the latest with regard to *advertiser censored* on Perez's phone. Some channels are saying it's child *advertiser censored*, but the journalist said that her source told her the sites visited contained adult *advertiser censored*. Pictures of children are on the phone, but the pictures aren't compromising and the techs. are yet to determine if the pictures could just be of relatives. There was some talk of pornographic sites visited comprising of women being violated but again the journalist said it hasn't been confirmed that this was on Perez's phone. As she pointed out there were 20 phones seized.

First time I am hearing that Caillava was the one who told Laudelina to plant the shoe:

Laudelina had confessed to planting Loan's loot herself and that she was forced to do so by María Victoria Caillava in order to divert the search. Later, Macarena defended her and said that she was threatened by that statement.

Yeah it was very early on in the search. Caillava allegedly called her to meet at the old school to give her Loan's shoe to plant.

Allegedly, on the phones of Maciel (Commissioner), Macarena and Laudelina there is a picture of a clean shoe. The one they "found" was half buried in the mud.

Also, where Loan went missing there were closed off roads from what I read so it wouldn't have been like anyone would have had easy access to him or for him to just go off anywhere.

Even if his case isn't that of human trafficking it doesn't lessen the need to wipe out human trafficking worldwide and especially when it comes to children - it needs to be stopped!

It's very easy for people to be missed by searchers, especially small children.

I hope the bodies of water are being searched thoroughly. That's where a lot of missing kids end up, especially those five and under, or those with a disability like autism.

Loan being lost doesn't explain why Laudelina lied about Perez and Caillava hitting Loan with a car, or why she said that Caillava gave her Loan's shoe to plant so that the police could find it, or why she is accusing her lawyer and a politician of coercing her to lie. Laudelina Peña's lawyer, Mónica Chirivín, says that she is broken and very scared. She is terrified. It is not easy to get used to prison. When she entered there was a protest. She is isolated. She clarified that Laudelina is more scared of what could happen to her in Corrientes than of what could happen to her at the Ezeiza prison.

"I can summarise this by telling you that there was no accident there. That did not happen. She saw in part what happened. When she comes forward, that will be clear, and it will clarify why she said what she said and under what circumstances, which is the most important thing," Chirivín stressed.

The lawyer warned that the case "should be for human trafficking and pedophilia." And when asked if those in power should be afraid of what Laudelina might say, she acknowledged that "someone is going to be upset." "The people Laudelina is afraid of are free to walk around the streets," Chirivín concluded.

This little girl, Guadalupe Lucero, went missing three years ago in Argentina under similar circumstances. She was at her aunt's house for a birthday party with several cousins. She was playing outside and went missing and never heard from again. It's been three years.

Maybe to get initiated into this trafficking network, the person must first give one of their own (Benitez giving his wife's nephew, Loan). So, one of Guadalupe's relatives at this birthday party gave her up too, in order to join this trafficking club.

I agree with a previous post that there are so many people to keep up with my head is spinning. From the sounds of it, this poor child didn't stand a chance in this family I sure hope I'm wrong and hopeful for a positive outcome.
I can't keep track of the stories and players but keep checking back for some hopeful news.

Fernando Burlando has launched a desperate appeal through Instagram, offering a "big reward" in exchange for information that could lead to the whereabouts of Loan Pena. "I need him back, we all do," the lawyer said. The offer is in addition to the $5 million offered by the government.
