I wonder if their normal personnel that take samples for drug tests were overwhelmed by the number of victims?
Did JH have on those black contacts in his uni picture? Remember all the discussion about how his eye color didn't look the same, etc...?

I call people like her "enablers" They support all the wrong things, which is not helpful to anyone concerned, including her.
No it is not an act of loving and forgiving. It is a sign of weak mind, weak character, and sadly she is the type to allow atrocities going forward too.
She is afraid of her own shadow, I would be too, if I could not think straight. She is not thinking straight and her boyfriend is not far from her mentality. A good Shrink can help.
BUT WHY IS THE MEDIA PRINTING THIS JUNK.

Why does the media insist on publicizing these people? It only fuels the fire for the next silly goose to fall in love with the next horrific high profile criminal.
I've always said that if Westboro received no media attention they'd cease to exist publicly. Same rule applies to these people...

Rescue fantasies: the SKG wants to believe that she has the ability to change someone as cruel and powerful as a serial killer.
Need to nurture: many women have said that they see the little boy in these killers and feel an overwhelming desire to nurture and protect that part of him.
The perfect boyfriend: she knows where he is at all times, and while she can now claim that someone loves her, she does not have to endure the day-to-day issues of most relationships; she can keep the fantasy charged up for a long time.
Need for drama: during the trial, the daily events in the lives of serial killers may attract women who want to get close to the adversarial atmosphere and the possibility that something surprising may occur.
Hybristophilia: some people are sexually excited by others who commit violence

Attention: when they do something like get involved with a killer, people talk about them and often the media puts a spotlight on them
Eminence: they evolve from Nobodies into Somebodies
The chance to show their mettle: they align themselves against the world in a heated defense of their beloved
Beauty and the Beast syndrome: they like the idea of getting close to danger that will probably not hurt them, but there's always the slight chance
Interestingly, many SKGs are educated and attractive. Some have money, and some are already married. Quite a few are mothers, and it's often the case that they work in some related field, such as psychology or law enforcement.

I can understand the fascination, although not in a romantic way.
High intelligence is revered in our society, so it has positive connotations attached to it.
Subconsciously, alot of us assume that jh reasons for committing this crime will be more acceptable than those of a murderer of average intelligence.
I do, however, feel that his research and passion in his chosen field could have played a significant part in what eventuated.
Studying temporal illusion can lead you up some very strange pathways, and make you question things that most take forgranted.
It's also a field that overlaps theory of time travel, and possibility of multiple realities.
I wonder if he had somehow come to believe he could commit this crime in one reality, yet leave his victims unharmed in an alternate one?
Or was it an experiment in temporal illusion, to ascertain whether he could use the trauma of his victims to induce a skewed perception of time, and perhaps escape scott free.
After all, he had no intention of killing himself

Interesting.... If the loss of fifth amendment rights that is tied to a not guilty by reason of insanity defense because of a recent, unchallenged law is upheld then that might force Jimmy to explain the second gas mask under oath... oh that's right no one will ever ask him about it because it raises more questions of reasonable doubt than anything...

You know I never got over how when this happened a local radio station I listened to interviewed some people that said gas cans were thrown from 2 different sides of the theater. And they thought there was someone else. I don't have a link... I heard it on the radio... So take it as you will.

I looked James Holmes right in the eye and felt crazy, not evil, coming from him. I'm a legal assistant/paralegal in Denver and had to run copies of a couple of exhibits down to one of my lawyers who was in trial. I had to go down a back hallway where the general public don't go to find the clerk and had to move to the side because there was a phalanx of 5 or 6 LEOs escorting him up from the back of the courthouse. He looked right at me and there was just nothing in his eyes. They were like black holes of hollow nothing. If there was ever any personality or soul in him its completely lost now. And surprisingly, I felt pity for him.
I say surprisingly because I was absolutely FURIOUS about the shooting. My then 16yo son (now 17) had gone out with a big group of friends to see the midnight showing and then he was going to spend the night with one of his friends, so when I got up the next morning it was of course all over the news, and I hadn't heard from him yet and freaked out. Then the news finally said where the theater was and I calmed down because I knew they had gone to a theater in downtown Denver, not Aurora.
I'm not going to be upset or anything if they execute him, I'm a huge believer in the DP and he deserves it, but I do feel sad for him when I think about it, kind of like a mom who runs into someone who is in desperate need of some mothering and comfort Sorry for the long post.
