Aruba - Natalee Holloway, 18, Oranjestad, 30 May 2005 *AL extortion trial* *Guilty* #3

There has never been any proof found that she was murdered.
Natalie was last seen leaving a bar in Aruba with Van der Sloot and was reported missing when she failed to show up for her flight home in the morning. And a judge declared Natalie legally deceased in 2012. But it's true there's no crime scene or body to analyze.

I know the case very well. I think JVDS is a major creep these days, and I think Natalee is dead, and that he had something to do with dispos8ng of her body.

But I was 18 once, drinking for the first time, and am real familiar with possible aspiration of vomit which can kill. There is no need to go into all the reports from her friends who partied with her, and didn't even report her missing when they saw her go off with 3 guys. Joran and the Kalpoes were taken in for questioning several times, but the were all released without being charged. They aren't even declared "suspects" in any jurisdiction, which is the word being thrown around in the American press. We would not be able to do that with Americans.

I think he killed her and they can't be charged because of nobody or evidence since Aruba is an island. Ever since this case happened I am boycotting Aruba

That is not fully correct. Natalee was last seen leaving Carlos' n Charlies sitting in a vehicle with van der Sloot and the Kalpoe brothers.

She was last seen by her friends leaving Carlos’ N Charlies in Oranjestad, sitting inside a vehicle with van der Sloot and two acquaintances – brothers Deepak and Satish Kalpoe.

She was officially declared dead by Alabama courts on Jan. 12, 2012.

On March 29, 2010, van der Sloot contacted an unidentified representative of Natalee’s mother via email.

During a series of emails that followed, according to charging documents, van der Sloot offered to take the representative to Natalee’s body and tell that representative what happened to her and identify those involved in her disappearance and death.

During a series of emails to follow, documents state, van der Sloot agreed to modify the terms of his offer. For an initial payment of $25,000, he would take the Holloway representative to the location of Natalee’s body.

Once the body was recovered and confirmed to be Natalee, he said, he would then collect the remaining $225,000.

Van der Sloot emailed his bank account information – SNS Bank in the Netherlands - to the representative so the money could be deposited by wire transfer. He insisted, authorities said, on a written contract from Holloway.

That contract was faxed to Holloway and signed.

On April 15, 2010, Holloway wired $100 from Regions Bank in Birmingham to confirm the account was valid.

On May 10, 2010, charging documents show, the Holloway representative flew to Aruba to me with van der Sloot.

Before the representative left, Holloway wired $10,000 to the representative in New York so that he could withdraw the money and have cash available when he met with Van der Sloot.

Friday, June 9th:
*Arraignment Hearing (@ 11am CT) - AL - U.S. Federal (case) - For crimes of extortion ($250K) & wire fraud against Elizabeth (Beth) Ann Holloway. *Joran Andreas Petrus Van Der Sloot (23 @ time of crime/35) being federally indicted & charged (7/30/10) with extortion & wire fraud after he allegedly tried to sell information regarding the location of Natalee's body to Beth Holloway. 6/6/23 Additional Update: According to court documents the petition challenges the temporary transfer of van der Sloot from a Peru prison to the US. Lawyer Maximo Altez argued for the cessation of the transfer due to a reported lack of official notification. The petition reportedly contradicts Altez’s previous statements made on May 3, where he indicated that van der Sloot had agreed to the transfer & was not expected to file a habeas corpus application. Van der Sloot is currently held at the Ancón 1 prison in Peru & is expected to be handed over to US authorities later this week. van der Sloot has lost his extradition appeal & will be sent to the U.S., according to the Peruvian Supreme Court. The Superior Court in Lima, Peru, ordered Van der Sloot be handed over to FBI agents on Thursday, 6/8/23 according to a statement published on social media on Tuesday. “With this resolution, the Judge has completed procedures for the transfer (passive extradition) of Van Der Sloot, who will be prosecuted in the United States of America for the alleged crimes of extortion & fraud against Elizabeth Ann Holloway,” the statement concludes. The FBI plane carrying van der Sloot has landed at the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport @ 2:20pm 6/8/23.
6/8/23 Update: Arraignment hearing on 6/9/23 @ 11am in Federal Count in Birmingham. He is being held in the Hoover City Jail, He will stay here until he is tried & once he is convicted, which I believe he will be, he will stay here until he is sentenced. The moment he is sentenced though, he is sent back to Peru to serve out the remainder of his murder sentence down there, which if he is not paroled or released early, that is 2040. When he is released from the Peruvian prison, he is then extradited back to the United States, to a Bureau of Prisons facility.” If convicted of both charges, van der Sloot faces a maximum sentence of 50 years.

“I assume he is going to plead not guilty, and request a trial,” Birmingham Defense Attorney Roger Appell said. "He doesn’t have anything to lose in his mind, so I believe he will force this to trial.”

I'm surprised they could fold his ego into that small plane.

He reeks of entitlement and cruelty.
