After watching the press conference today and A Current Affair this evening, I'm more so of the opinion that there is not a paedophile ring involved in William's disappearance. Gary Jubelin basically said as much when asked about a paedophile ring during the interviews. Gary inferred that because of the nature of their investigation into William's disappearance, a paedophile ring was uncovered but was not necessarily associated with William. I'm not religious but I hope and pray that is the case.

Thanks Keyleigh. That was one of my initial thoughts early in the case but after Gary Jubelin took over and stated that the family and extended family had been cleared I was happy to accept that. I'm still going with my gut feeling that it was someone who was living in or near Benaroon Drive who took William on a whim for whatever sick reason. It may not have been sexually related, it may have been spurred on by anger at the sound of William and his sister laughing loudly that morning. Who knows? The police do but they're not going to tell us everything just yet.

True but I think it's also opened the rock spider's eyes to the fact that they can't escape the law, even after 30 years, as in Spedding's historical charges now before the court in two states.

I haven't been to this forum in a while, but it is just heartbreaking that not much has changed in regards to finding William - at least what we know about. I think the cops may have a pretty good idea of what's what, but just need the final pieces in place. Keeping my fingers crossed that this reward will tip someone to rat out someone else. It is certainly a substantial amount, not least from a psychological POV.

It may have already been mentioned, but I watched with interest the interview with the BG and her friend? The ones who were getting a house together? JMHO, but I got the impression that one of those two (the friend) was very much the dominant friend, and her affect, and reaction, to various things in that interview just didn't seem quite right to me. All was just a little bit off tap, considering the subject matter. Then I got to thinking of the "two worlds colliding" statement, and there seemed to be a rather tangled web of associates whose paths seemed to cross quite a bit. Like most cops say, there is no such thing as coincidences.

I so wish we are nearing the end of the race to find this little boy.

I'm very concerned he was dismissive about a paedophile ring because he didn't want to draw attention to the fact that it the case with William. I hope and pray this isn't what has happened to him as it is unbearable to think about. I hope they have got who they think is involved under intense surveillance as it would be terrible if it transpired William was alive till now but was harmed because the heat has been turned up further on them. I was surprised there were no questions about B.S's possible involvement yesterday. Or about the secrecy in the case that the media isn't allowed to cover. I'm very sorry to type this I'm trying to stay positive and hope this young boy we all care about will be coming home alive.

Nice to see you here again MsDee I agree I'm sure they have a pretty good idea what has happened but they need a witness to start talking to corroborate and prove it and most importantly recover William. There is a lot they know but aren't revealing. I just hope someone picks up the phone and does the right thing finally by revealing what they know.

I get what you're saying about the paedophile ring Greg but I just don't see it that way. I didn't think that Gary Jubelin was dismissive of the subject, IMO his answer was just short and to the point. We all interpret things differently and it's good to throw around our opinions and ideas.

I honestly don't think that Gary Jubelin, Andrew Scipione and Mike Baird would front the media if they thought that it would be detrimental to William in any way. Gary Jubelin was surprisingly candid about the fact that covert operations were going on as he spoke. He means business and will do everything within his power to recover William. I honestly don't believe that William is alive but I sincerely hope that I am wrong.

In regard to BS's involvement, I think the media know better than to ask Gary Jubelin about any of the known POI's. It's a waste of time. He just won't go there.

I will continue to hope his extended bio family are involved because it's the best chance that he is both alive and well.

Other scenarios all most likely mean he is long dead and I just don't want to think that until it's proven.

I don't know how to read the info out there now. I feel it's a little conflicting and maybe it's strategically so. I just have to put my faith in the hard work and dedication of the cops on the case.

Yep.

I also think by taking only William they(the unsub) were thinking about it being easier to take a younger child. It would be less risky to have a three year old relearn a name and change appearance than a five year old.

Imo anyway.
