The woman also wept when she recalled seeing a third vehicle that morning - a green or teal-looking car which reversed in a neighbouring driveway and drove off.

She said the driver was "a big man" in his late 50s who was Caucasian, had "sandy, reddy-coloured hair", a "thick neck" and looked "weathered".

They exchanged a fleeting "Why are you watching me? I'm watching you" glance, she said.

The foster mother said she was still working with police to reconstruct the man's appearance with software but had a "pretty intense reaction" when she identified the "old" green car.
Coroner hears from William Tyrrell's carer

The inquest conducted by NSW Deputy State Coroner, Harriet Grahame, heard on Monday the foster mother had seen a “thick-necked” man in an old green-coloured car with spoke style wheels drive up the street on the same morning.

William Tyrrell’s foster mum: ‘I beat myself up’

When did she identify the car?
How did she identify the car? cctv?
Tennis club side on view?

There wouldn't be so many cars registered in Kendall that the task of searching RTA records for a car that fits the description given by FM would be out of the question? or have I been watching too much television?

The question that I am sure is on everyone's mind. Imo If police had bought in expert interrogators immediately they were advised of William's disappearance we might not have the what if question.
Interrogators - if they wouldn't have skipped someone because of "fragile - elderly - only sitting somewhere, waiting for tea - sometimes exaggerating or the opposite of it - etc." - maybe, would have been very helpful. The wording of some statement would have been revealing (or not). If not then (2014) already, maybe later on.

I want to yell at someone, anyone.

Can you explain what back deck area you refer to? The long raised narrow verandah or the small deck that William was photographed on?

If Mr Savage walked up the hill he wouldn't really pass any deck areas would he? From his house he would walk directly past the front of the 48 house.

The small deck where William's photo was taken.

It has been said his daily walk is up the hill towards the track to the cemetery. If that's the case he would walk past the area where fgm fm and the children were.

I found something - of no repute ;)

"The inquest into William Tyrrell’s disappearance, due to begin today, will reportedly focus on a new person of interest who has never been discussed publicly before."

From -New person of interest expected to take centre stage at William Tyrrell inquest

There were many articles that day, saying the same thing. What i don't get is - PS has been discussed, not just here, but all over the news a couple of months back...? wasn't he??? I don't really get it (;ike usual)

My first line of interest ís in the identity of the Big dude in the strange car - the one who eyeballed FM ..

As my mind meanders - I'm wondering if Det Jubelin's current situation may be Strategical. .. weird, but perhaps an entice to someone if they think Jubes has been removed; perhaps they'll let their guard down ?

Just caught up after work. The impression I get is the fm said she had a very strong reaction when she saw "it" which to me means the actual car that was in the street and the person she saw driving the car was not who owned it. Also, I do wonder why PS has retained legal representation when the other witnesses called so far have not. Something has made him feel he needs it.

Like Spedding,<modsnipped offensive language> IF they are innocent but IF they are guilty the deserve every bit of the living hell.

The side patio, is at a 90 degree angle to house fronting onto the street, as you pass the house, heading towards the bush track, the porch side of the house may well be visible to a pedestrian on the street. I passed that area in a car and did not have a view from my car of that area, but someone standing may have had a view. The view is obviously visible from the google van.

After an inquiry, transcripts have to be applied for. A copy is only released to most senior relative and their permission is sought to allow others to have a copy as it is full of sensitive information.

I have read many transcripts regarding other NSW Coroner Inquests online after an Inquest is completed. This Inquest at the moment is split into 2 hearing stages so I wonder if the current stage will get published 1st.

I have read many coroner's findings online, which is a summing up of the evidence by the coroner and her impressions of the evidence and obviously why she has reached the conclusion about the matter. I have not read any transcripts of inquests. E.g. http://www.coroners.justice.nsw.gov.au/Documents/peisley, belinda shirley - findings.pdf
This is the findings but not a transcript of the inquest. I would love to get my hands on that.

Interesting, why do you say that?

I am not sure what you don't understand and hope my thoughts below will clarify..

To my mind the local police command from Port Macquarie immediately jumped to the conclusion that William had wandered off. If a specialist highly trained investigator had sat down with the foster mother immediately and stepped her through each moment of that morning the investigator may have been able to draw out the vital clues of the 2 vehicles and put out an urgent all points bulletin on the vehicles immediately.

Can anyone recall if the 3rd vehicle had been raised in the media prior to the 2 vehicles 1st raised publicly in 2015?

Wasn't it reported very early about 4 days after the disappearance that the homicide squad were also involved? If my memory is correct this may have come about due to the foster mother's recall of the 2 vehicles and the 3rd vehicle and that a specialist interrogator had sat down with her eventually.

The female detective that arrived on scene on the Saturday morning has talked about her immediate gut feeling when she observed the scene, in that in her opinion William had not wandered of and intervention had taken place. This was the morning after foster mother's recall about 2 vehicles.

A timeline (of sorts) of William’s and his FP’s final movements before he disappeared is included in this MSM article:

‘Somebody has taken him’: William Tyrrell’s foster mother shares grief over loss of three-year-old
She told the court she was outside her house when she was approached by the foster mother who asked “have you seen a little boy? His name is William and he’s wearing a Spider-Man suit."

"She was upset... and saying 'he's hit his head and can't hear me', or 'he's been taken as he always answers me'."
Mrs Sharpley then knocked on the door of neighbour Paul Savage - who is legally represented at the inquest.

The way this evidence is quoted for the article isn't the impression I got when hearing it in the court. When AMS told the court about the FM saying "he's hit his head....................", that was after they had an initial conversation and both of them had searched to the end of the street, they had split up and then rejoined each other, time had passed and now the FM was quite upset that she had not found WT and that he hadn't answered. She had to call the police.

‘Where’s the red?’: Mum’s frantic search
William Tyrrell’s inquest starts in Sydney

I stumbled over this (besides the 3 cars and the 1 driver):
The foster mother agreed with counsel assisting the inquest, Gerard Craddock, SC, that in statements immediately after William’s disappearance she had not mentioned the first two cars she had seen.
Nor had she initially mentioned the large man driving in an old “LTD’ style vehicle about whom she said, “I have seen him and he’s seen me”.
“With William missing it went right out of my mind,” she told the court.
But six days later, I just had this flash that there were two cars.
-.-
She (FM) said on the morning of September 12, 2014, her husband had become “frustrated” with the children being noisy.
“I remember saying ‘you just take care of yourself and I will take care of them’.”
-.-
She said she was still working with police on an image of the person she saw (in 2014), although at the time she had told her daughter it was “probably a neighbour”.
-.-
The foster mother saw the cars twice, which in the remote street where her mother — William foster grandmother — lived, was an unusual sight. (would have said "still")
-.-
The foster father had a telephone conference meeting that required “a bit of quiet and a decent internet connection”, and that would be difficult driving with “children in the back”.
-.-
“William was ducking to the northeast corner of the house and then rushing out and roaring at the ladies,” he said.
“They were drinking tea.”
The foster grandmother had “thought William was being very boisterous and loud”, but the foster mother had replied “he’s a boy, that’s just how they are”.
-.-
On one side of the courtroom, the foster parents — who cannot be identified — sat after being accompanied into court by NSW Police Minister Troy Grant.
They looked grim as they heard the triple-0 call made by the foster mother played in court, and details of the search for William as it became obvious he was nowhere in sight.
-.-
Throughout the investigation, William was referred to “a little boy lost” but police soon came to suspect something more sinister happened and zeroed in on known paedophiles and criminals from nearby holiday towns.
-.-
The closely-guarded persons of interest list, which ballooned to include hundreds of names over the years, has been whittled down for the inquest’s second sitting in August.
Some names on that list have been previously released by police but sources say one so-far unidentified person will be watched closely when they are called in front of the inquest.
