Yes and no... I can see how PS may have been swept up in the emotion of the day... sickness and hospitals visits are run of the mill stuff for elderly folk.

A lost little boy is a very dramatic event to have happen in your quiet Kendall St.

I must admit that I totally forgot to pick my kids up from school once and it wasn't because I was busy undertaking line searches (if that's what he was doing).

going to pick someone up 400 kms away that's counting on you, isn't a oops I forgot run of the mill kinda things imo

was she also being harrassed?
just wondering though why this would make him a suspect in regards to william, it seems his attraction was towards women?
also really sad to hear fa was allegedly sexually abusing the neighbours labrador!!

Five Long Years

Paul Savage has a history with police.
Woman in her late 40's claimed PS was stalking & harassing her.
She delivered the mail in the Kendall area for several years prior to 2014 & she told police that his fixation & strange behaviour towards her escalated over time.
She changed her postal routine but it still continued & got so bad she went to police & got an AVO against PS in 4/2013 which prevented PS from contacting or approaching her.
She stopped delivering his & his wife's mail forcing him to attend the post office to collect mail.
PS ignored the AVO & approached her in 2/2014 when she was delivering mail to a neighbours house & she went to police & he was charged with breaching theAVO.
She has since left her job & moved to another town.

Revealed: Man Questioned Over William Tyrrell Breached Restraining Order

Exclusive: A neighbour questioned by detectives over William Tyrrell's disappearance was accused of stalking a woman in the months before the toddler vanished.
10 News First can exclusively reveal Paul Savage was the subject of a restraining order protecting a local postal worker who delivered his mail, amid claims he was harassing her.

The woman, in her late 40s at the time, went to police in April 2013 claiming his “strange” behaviour towards her had escalated and she feared for her safety.

She claimed to police that Savage had formed an obsession with her, making repeated unwanted romantic gestures including blowing kisses in her direction.


She also claimed he knew personal details about her which she had never disclosed to him.

imo bear sexual predators aren't fusy.
opportunistic .
throw a bit of dementia in the mix and you have a very volatile cocktail.
I am sure there are plenty of aged care workers who know too well the unfortunate and disgusting changes SOME elderly people develop.
very difficult to manage and monitor.

I agree that it's very hard to view RC's evidence as credible. I can't fit RC's sighting into any of the possible theories about current POIs that we are aware of. The top of my list at the moment are PS and FA, and RC's evidence just doesn't fit nicely into the possible scenarios for me.

RC seems like a credible person to me. Whether he saw WT or some other kid is still to be determined though IMO.

If FA is responsible for William’s disappearance & PS witnessed something, I can believe he would take a threat from someone like FA very seriously, at the time he had a wife & he has a daughter, perhaps Grandchildren even?
Maybe PS slipped up in a conversation with Jubes along the way, I can see after almost five years & an inquest on the horizon Jubes going at him hard in an effort to get him to crack.
Has the Coroner had access to the recordings, maybe in a closed court?

Even though his offence was related to a woman... it was still very creepy IMO.
Did he perhaps start a fixation on the new postie and was perhaps awaiting their arrival and saw what happened to William or came across William himself?

What was he doing when he was "missing" in the bush?
Is it possible that the search crews could have missed a small area of the bush? I'm sure they covered it over and over just wondering of a slight chance they missed any part of it.

I sometimes wonder if this friendly neighbour was a person who William may have been roaring at around the side of the house. Then silence.

As kmac said, elderly people can get pretty sexually 'different' in their later years. I believe this to be true. A friend didn't let her children be alone with her own grandfather in his later years, because he had turned from a great man into something far more creepy.

SA when you say "friendly neighbour" are you referring to PS?
