Yes a mentally ill person will do some pretty crazy things if having a psychotic episode which is out of the norm. I'm not saying PS was psychotic as we don't know the extent of his mental illness.

We don't even know that he has a mental Illness, diagnosed or not diagnosed

Many completely sane people do " crazy things" every day......jails are full of them ;)

Sadly Tgy , I don't think anyone was/is as invested in finding out what happened to William than Gary ( clearly not the cold hearted Scott ) To see GJ him turn up day after day to the inquest says alot IMO.

Did you notice if Laidlaw or Cook ever attended?

Never saw Cook ( thank god ;) ) Laidlaw was there everyday, he seems like a nice guy IMO & has been thrown into all this mess.....I do feel for him :(

But again it came in with the court proceedings, and that's all i'm interested in is the Trial. And its outcome of course. My opinion in all of it is irrelevant.

So is Cook going to take the stand to "defend" himself, you'd think he would be eager too, if he denies what GJ has said he said???

I doubt it. I just watched Ch 9 News and I missed some of it, but I think Kelly Fedor said that Cook was deposed (do we do that) and denied it. Maybe it was in his statement that was given to the defence 3 days into the trial.

Doubt she would still be in the Courtroom, she finished last week.
She was asked when on the stand about this comment and acknowledged it as being said .

Cunneen asks Beacroft if Homicide Commander Scott Cook ever said to her that “it’s a waste of time, you’ll never get anyone for this” in regards to the Tyrrell investigation. She responded “that’s possibly something that was said”.

edited by me after, I was thinking she was talking about the no one cares about this little boy comment . Obviously it wasn’t that comment .

More damage control????

The rest of the Fullers statement … only first paragraph was tweeted....

This afternoon NSW Police Commissioner Mick Fuller released a statement about the allegations.
"I have full confidence in the professionalism of Assistant Commissioner Scott Cook, who has more than 31 years of exemplary service with the NSW Police Force, which includes receiving the Australian Police Medal in 2019.
"Much of Assistant Commissioner Cook's career has been in criminal investigation with a specialty focus on serious and organised crime.
"He was promoted to the rank of Superintendent in 2010 and took the role of Asian Crime Squad Commander, before being appointed as the first Organised Crime Squad Commander in 2015.
"Assistant Commissioner Cook held the role of Homicide Squad Commander from 2018, during which he exemplified the definition of a leader and reimagined the review process for unsolved cases to improve communication with the families of victims and deliver answers and justice in more cases.
"In December 2019, he was promoted to the rank of Assistant Commissioner as the Police Prosecutions and Licensing Enforcement Commander."

And the post where
I'd still like to know more about Paul's son. Is it true he lived with his parents at the time Wm went missing? Early rumours said so....

And he seems to be the person that was throwing shade at the neighbour who moved away.
No he didn't live with PS

Cameras caught that parasite who stalked and killed Jill Meagher, yes I say put one on every street corner.

Cameras, cameras everywhere please except up a skirt.

I disagree the AVO had no relevance. At the very least it shows a propensity towards boundary violation and the breach indicates a disregard of the law. IMO

I agree, it may not directly relate to William however shows his disregard for the law and another persons rights.

NSW Police Comissioner Mick Fuller, whose legal team tried to suppress the allegations about Cook today, has released a statement expressing his support for his now Assistant Comissioner. Saying “I have full confidence in the professionalism of Assistant Commissioner Scott Cook”.

This all seems wrong to me. Should a Police Commissioner be giving a statement about evidence being considered in a current ongoing trial?

Isn't that Subjudice or similar?
