Chad Holvig, 51, was reported missing on July 11 by a family member after leaving his home in Tonopah to visit his son in Goodyear on July 4, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office said.

The Sheriff’s Office said Chad Holvig has not communicated with his family since July 6, which is “reported to be unusual behavior.”

His son, Dalton Holvig, 25, was last seen and heard from on July 10, the Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday.

The Sheriff’s Office said Chad was last seen driving a 1999 black Dodge Durango.
They said he left his dogs and all of his personal belongings behind.

Appears that some charges listed in the records are related to driving under the influence and/or drug paraphernalia/possession. This whole case is shrouded with leading statements- son had leg injury, treatment centers/HIPPA privacy, last seen info and now son is also missing, after Dad went to see him to make a purchase. What else would we think but there is foul play- <modsnip>

Interesting, I had not considered your theory. My guess was that both men might be living with substance use disorder. I agree though that the few facts we have are very confusing.

Detectives served a search warrant on a home and found Dalton, who was shot multiple times, according to MCSO Sgt. Joaquin Enriquez. He is still alive, but it's unclear how serious his injuries are.

Authorities found two other bodies on the property during the search. They were not identified.

Two people living at the residence were arrested, but on suspicion of charges unrelated to the human remains that were found, Enriquez said.

Chad Holvig is still missing. It's not known when or where the search warrant was executed, what led detectives to that home, or what events led up to these discoveries.

"Multiple weapons and other potential evidence was recovered from the property and the investigation is in an aggressive and fluid state," said Enriquez. "Further details will be released at the appropriate stage of the investigation."
