Circumstances of Disappearance
Patsy was last seen at approximately 22.30 at her parents home in the vicinity of 29th Avenue and Latham Street in Phoenix, AZ.
At approximately 5:00 on September 5, 1977 her relatives woke to find Patsy and her vehicle missing. A missing-persons report was filed September 11, 1977.

Ravens had been staying with her parents since July 9, 1977. Ravens was recently divorced and her ex-husband had custody of their little boy. Ravens' parents described their daughter as a quiet girl with no close friends who spent a lot of time in her room, reading the Bible and thinking. In the year before her disappearance, she had become involved in the Mormon Church.

On the night she disappeared, Ravens used the family car to go to the Mesa Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She returned home around 21.45, ate and went to bed. Ravens' mother told police it was a normal night and that her daughter didn't mention anything odd that had happened. The family was planning a picnic the next day.

Ravens left a note, saying, "God calls me to do his work so I must leave." Her mother told police that Ravens had talked about going to Kanab, Utah, to work. But none of her clothes were missing. Ravens took about $35 in cash but left behind a $162 unemployment check.

Patsy's vehicle, described as a white 1965 Rambler, was found later at the Sunset Pointe lookout, southbound I-17 at mile post 252, near Prescott, AZ.
In December 1977, Ravens' purse was found near Sunset Point north of Phoenix. The cash was missing, but the purse held medication, a temporary driver's license and car keys.

The fact that her purse & its contents were found seems like a bad sign for her still being alive, unless she joined some type of cult that encouraged her to do away with her previous identity & disappear.

According to Charley project, she had a map tracing a route to Utah. Sounds like she wanted to join the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (FLDS) which has headquarters in Hildale, Utah, U.S.

Each leader had his own set of 70 to 80 wives.

She may have just been living off the grid then. She could possibly still be alive.

If alive, she's probably deep into the FLDS and became one of the "wives"

Bump

Any new info on this? Here still being alive is a definite possibility.

Maybe?

However, the UID's clothes do not seem to fit in with Patsy's style.
Also...

Casa Grande is located 135 milles from Prescott, where her vehcile was discovered, so if she ended up there, I assume someone gave her a ride or abandoned her body there.
That note and the fact she had recently divorced makes me think Patsy was in a very vulnerable moment, perphaps she joined a cult or even committed suicide (although her religion forbids that).

Not sure if it is ok to post Reddit threads, but Patsy's brother replied to it a few times

If this gets snipped by the mods, just search Patsy's name and Reddit.

This is a bit of a wild card - but the jewellery holding religious ties , the Doe believed to have had a child previously .

I just wonder if Patsy did get pulled into a cult situation , perhaps wanted to leave it and it went wrong ? Would perhaps give the time frame between patsy leaving and doe being discovered ?

I know age range is slightly out but i thought it was worth a mention !
