He was allowed to attend Church services. Sunday evening his vehicle was found in a lot. Bolt cutters and our all fave GPS pedo tracker were in the vehicle.

Luna has residences in Texas, California, and Illinois. He may also have fled to his birthplace of Zacatecas, Mexico. Hmmmmmmm, wonder where he went?

:banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

You guys on here sure called it. If I was a bettin' woman, I'd be sitting pretty.

Wonder where he's headed?

And LE didn't even know he was missing. He had to be reported missing by a family member. Thank you, family member!! Someone has their priorities straight.

FBI unaware Sun City doctor had fled until hours later

"A Sun City pediatrician's recent escape from house arrest while facing federal child-*advertiser censored* charges was not reported to police or the FBI until roughly 4½ hours after the company monitoring him reported him missing, authorities said.

Though Dr. Emilio Luna, 40, wore an electronic monitoring device, it could neither give his location nor notify authorities that it had been cut off of Luna because it was too far from its receiver inside his home...."

and

"....Luna had been permitted to be away from home between noon and 4 p.m. to drive to church and return home....[I realize that he had much to confess and pray about but isn't that a little extensive as far as time goes?]

and

"....Therefore, police did not learn of his escape until 8:30 p.m., when his family finally contacted the Glendale Police Department, Officer Gerald Sydnor said...."

and

".....Luna's escape underscores concerns expressed during his detention hearing Sept. 3, when the U.S. Attorney's Office in Phoenix argued for his detention because he was considered a potential flight risk...."

Assistant U.S. Attorney Brian Kasprzyk told the court it should be concerned because Luna was from Mexico, had Mexican and American passports in his possession, and had more than $15,000 in cash at the time a search warrant was executed. Though Luna had no criminal record and was forced to give up his passports upon being placed on house arrest, Kaspryzk warned he could still flee to Mexico, since Mexican authorities are not as strict about checking passports of those walking into the country.

Luna was nonetheless released to his sister's custody, on condition that he wear the monitoring device, surrender his passports, and not make contact with minors or have Internet access...."

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church is located at 55th and West Orangewood Ave. in Glendale. That is 7.8 miles from Luna's home in Sun City as listed in the arresting document. The article states that he was released to his sister's custody. She is shown in one of the earlier videos. Possibly, he was staying with her at another address. I still think that 4 hours was a bit too generous, especially without any sort of escort. I wonder if he ever went into the church. Maybe that where he got the bolt cutters.

Luna was granted a pre-trial release. Does that mean that his sister put up no bail or bond?

And of course the 'good' doctor had an accomplice, who brought him bolt cutters and most likely gave him transportation. So, he had approximate 8 1/2 hours in which to escape.

I hope they have posters up in Mexico, as many would be very interested in $20k!

Really?

Federal officials: Sun City doctor's fleeing seen as rare event

"The fleeing from house arrest by a Sun City pediatrician facing child *advertiser censored* charges is a rare event, according to federal officials.

Dr. Emilio Luna, 40, was arrested Sept. 1 by the FBI on suspicion of five counts of distributing child *advertiser censored* after agents found the images on Luna's home computer, according to federal court documents. Luna asked permission to go to church on Sept. 12, but fled.

"It is very, very uncommon," said Richard Weare, an executive with U.S. District Court in Phoenix. Weare said during the about 25 years he has worked with District Court, he has only been aware of three or four individuals fleeing from house arrest...."

There was plenty of evidence that the guy was prepared to run and they still let him go. Disgraceful.

No, they haven't caught him. I wish. But here's an update:

Valley Doctor Still On The Run From *advertiser censored* Charges
Sun City Pediatrician Wanted For Child *advertiser censored*

"He's the West Valley pediatrician, who's job was to heal and protect children. Now, Dr. Emilio Luna is accused of exploiting them. The Sun City doctor was arrested on child *advertiser censored* charges back in September, accused of sharing thousands of pornographic pictures over the Internet. Luna was scheduled to appear in court, but he never made it.

According to investigators, the doctor was out on bail and given an electronic monitoring bracelet. Police said Luna was granted permission to attend church and that's when Luna cut himself loose and took off. He hasn't been seen since. Investigators believe Luna may now be in Mexico or some small town across the country. FBI agents said an even bigger concern is that Luna may have changed his name and be back working with children as a pediatrician...."
