Earlier this year, Ecuador confirmed its first case of human transmission of bid flu in a 9-year-old girl. Global health officials have said risk of transmission between humans is low, but vaccine makers have been preparing bird flu shots for humans "just in case."

Lol, I was confused reading the title as I went to Hong Kong in 2015, and there were a LOT of posters in public parks warning about the potential for humans to contract bird flu. Seeing it was in Chile makes it make more sense...
I hope it doesn't become more widespread.
