Bumping this thread up from the bowels since it appears there will be much to talk about soon.

So, once Nurmi is officially disbarred, does the attorney-client policy go away? Can we assume that he did the math and he can make more off of writing the truth of what happened during the years he was cuffed to JA than he can in a courtroom?

IANAL, but I'm pretty sure the attorney-client privilege still applies. If it didn't, then anyone who fired their lawyer would be faced with that lawyer blabbing all their secrets. I believe only Jodi can waive attorney-client privilege in this case.

Apparently A-C privilege applies even after an attorney is disbarred. The one possible exception to that is in circumstances of "self defense," ironically enough, meaning that if the does sue Nurmi, he is allowed (theoretically) to breach confidentiality in order to defend himself against her allegations.

Oh, my gosh, would that ever be a treat! He could truthfully trash her, no holds (dis)barred! And iirc, the rules of evidence in civil cases aren't nearly as rigorous as in criminal cases. I hope he countersues for attorney fees, pain and suffering, threats, excessive publicity, defamation, exposing him to egregious pornographic material, causing him to both lose weight and gain weight, killing Travis and thereby causing Nurmi to be sacrificed at the altar of justice, exposing him to public ridicule, and Causing him permanent orthopedic damage because his body has been unrelentingly molded into the shape of a barcolounger. Go get 'er, Nurms!

I kind of lost touch with all things Arias after the trial, so did not know about Nurmi's book. But I spotted it at the library the other day! So hell, yeah, I am reading it for free. The man could really use an editor or even just a proofreader. I don't buy a lot of what he is selling here, but I am still finding some of this a little intriguing. I guess any glimpse behind the scenes can be interesting. Now I am curious to find out exactly why he was disbarred since he seemed to be pretty careful about keeping a lot of things very vague.

I gather books 2 and 3 are on hold. Rats.

I couldn’t get through it...it was so poorly written and in desperate need of a proofreader and an editor, like you mentioned. It was such a rambling mess like his client. I had to delete it from kindle

And to you I say.... YOU GO GIRL!!!! I seriously hope he gets better and becomes cancer free. With that being said he is, was, and more than likely always will be a butt-hurt whiner. I simply cannot stand a grown cry baby. NURMI, GET OVER IT ALREADY!!! He needs to mend his flaws and seriously he might want to think about a different career as his skin is way too thin. Thumbs down to me buying Volumes two and three.... #1 was all I needed to see and to be blunt... it sucked!

Couldnt agree more hes a hypocrite. How dare he speak for Travis the VICTIM. He had no problem tearing him apart and lying about him. He was on a podcast i listend to and Laura Richards who is a victims advocate was asking abot jodi he was insisting she was a victim of d.v laughable he knows fine well shes a victim of nothing,, i really dislike Nurmi, i have zero sympathy for him, Glad he is cancer free etc but it was unforgivable the way he acted with JW...
