Yep...just once I'd like to hear them respond, "Yes I am...I never dreamed that i'd be testifying at a murder trial for someone that I shared a house with!"

There is nothing wrong with sharing a house with anyone. I've done it. You just don't expect your roomie to be a cold blooded murderer until the ***** hits the fan. As for being nervous, I would be too if I had to testify in ANY trial as it is not something I do on a daily basis and therefore would not be used to it. No need to pick on the witness for feeling human.

Edited to add : Not certain if you're picking on the witness for his answers (re: nervous) or the Defense for asking the questions.
