We're hearing from Houston police that two people may have been shot in the 3500 block of Blodgett Street near Canfield around 11:30am. The shooting happened at the Tierwester Oaks section of the University Courtyard Apartment Complex. The apartment complex is owned by TSU and is on campus property."

DNA links a Midwest City man to a 1997 child abduction case

MIDWEST CITY — Police and the FBI conducted an intensive nationwide search for 8-year-old Kirsten Renee Hatfield after she vanished from her bedroom in the middle of the night more than 18 years ago.

No trace was ever found.

Monday, investigators arrested a neighbor who still lives only two doors down.

MILWAUKEE (WISN/CNN) - There are new leads in a decades-old cold case after a man called in details about a girl's death to a news station.

Carrie Ann Jopek went missing at age 13 in March of 1982.

A man called WISN in Milwaukee and identified himself as a neighbor who lived across the street from Carrie Ann.

He said he went to a party with her the night she died, and that she fell and broke her neck. He said he had sex with her because he thought she was unconscious, but when he realized she was dead, he buried her.

The news is sad relief for Carrie Ann's mother, Caroyln Tousignant.

"He said he did it. He admitted it finally after how long? Thirty-three years," Tousignant said.

The body of Samantha Dean was found behind a vacant building in February. Authorities say Dean was seven months pregnant, and that Clark shot her because he didn't want to pay child support.

Austin police fired Clark in mid-July for insubordination and neglect of duty. He was arrested in Indonesia at the end of July and extradited to the U.S. last month.
