No, it was in the relatively same area. it was next to Ridgecrest Ca, like the last one.Just saw the news about the aftershock. I'm confused - did the aftershock hit in a different area than the original quake? If so, is that the normal thing that happens?

Friend just said the same - didn't feel first one, but got a good rattle at 8:20PM Pacific just a while ago. Had to get up and stabilize a tall piece of furniture, house creaking, lots of rattling noises like dishes.Seeing people on Twitter who didn't feel the last one say they felt this one.
Yes, a tv studio is a dangerous place to be. All those gigantic lights and speakers hanging over their heads.Just saw a video clip on twitter from an unverified account, but it was real--the CBSLA newscasters during the earthquake and going underneath the news desk.
Just read they halted an NBA game because the scoreboard was swinging
