Santa Ana woman missing since May 7

Claudia Reyes was last seen with her husband on or about May 6, 2016. Her husband last spoke to her on May 7, 2016 at 10:45 pm.

Claudia Lisseth Sanchez Reyes was last seen May 6 with her husband by their landlord at their apartment complex at 2015 N. Bush St.

Earlier that day, she reported to work at an El Pollo Loco in either Santa Ana or Garden Grove. She did not show up for her shift the next day.

Reyes’ husband filed a missing persons report with police May 11, saying he last spoke to his wife at 10:45 p.m. on May 7.

Detectives learned that the husband had retained a lawyer when they tried to speak with him Tuesday.

Police responded to nine domestic disturbance calls at Reyes’s home, but no one was ever arrested.

He is not considered a suspect.

A search is underway after a mother in Santa Ana vanished nearly two weeks ago.
A manager in the building told ABC7 he believes the husband moved everything out on Sunday.

Lawyer: Husband's actions as wife goes missing 'very easily explained'

The attorney for a man whose 21-year-old wife has been missing since early May said his client is cooperating with investigators and there are logical reasons why he waited several days to report her disappearance and why he moved out of their apartment Sunday.

“It looks suspicious but it can be very easily explained,” said Marlin Stapleton, attorney for Eddy Reyes.

In August 2014, Claudia Reyes requested a domestic violence restraining order against her husband, who is now 30. Around that time, she filed for divorce, but neighbors said the couple were living together at their Bush Street apartment when she disappeared.

seems clear what happened here.

also, while there is nothing wrong with clubbing, some macho men look down upon it and consider women who "go clubbing" to be cheap. im curious to know if this woman actually went to dance clubs. if he said she was last known to have gone clubbing and she was not known to patronize clubs, it is akin to the one who says his wife was "having an affair".

You know you look bad when even your own lawyer admits your actions look suspicious!

So sad. I hope she maybe saw a chance to get away from him and took it but in this case I really doubt it.
