September 16, 2006 - Fresno police say they have the seven people responsible for the rape and murder of a teenage girl.
Police announced the arrests at a news conference Friday afternoon.

Chief Jerry Dyer says 16-year-old Courtney Rice was lured into a Central Fresno apartment before she was killed in June.

Her body was found in the back of a pick-up truck days later.

"These are vicious and violent individuals that need to be removed from our streets. Fortunately, we've been able to remove these individuals and put them in jail," Chief Dyer said.

Dyer says six of the suspects are charged with rape, murder and false imprisonment. The seventh is charged with being an accessory.http://abclocal.go.com/kfsn/story?section=local&id=4568888

As far as I can tell, only four of the seven suspects were prosecuted: Jose Lopez, Michelle Molina, Rodger Alley and Elbert Vargas. It was tough to track down the resolution of this case because of misspelled names, limited MSM, and because California DOC records don't give any info other than the facility where the inmate is incarcerated, so I don't know what sentences Molina and Vargas wound up with.
