CA - Elizabeth Holmes (Theranos) Wire Fraud Thread *Guilty* #3

"The Daily Mail noted that this visit would be the first of a possible 572 ....."

So the parents, husband, kids are going to fly Texas from California 572 times? Do they have a private jet or are chartering one? That will be pricey.
Who's watching the kids for those 7 hours??? I thought that she was such a devoted mother.

Her parents were visiting and they already live in TX. Her husband lives in CA with the kids and his parents. His parents are helping raise the kids. Note his parents were not seen visiting. I guess they stayed in CA to care for the kids.

No point in flying a toddler and infant back and forth to TX every week. Guess her husband will have to do this every week, he has enough money.

She can see her kids on video chats but how they do the in-house visits will be interesting.

Elizabeth didn't plan her family very well. Didn't plan to give at least her daughter time to bond with her. Her daughter won't know her. Her son is so young he could forget who she is. Sad. I hope not.

She deliberately planned her family this way, go figure.

For a bright person she lacks normal common sense.

They'll prolly do a fly-by drop with care packages on a parachute....

Well the Daily Mail will be there to tell us whether the visits continue every week. I'm sure she's very image conscious, so she is going to want to keep up those appearances. We'll see if he does.
Let's see if she pretties up the brown T-shirt or adds some flare to the sticky-nylon pants.

Elizabeth Holmes objects to government requesting she pay $250 a month to victims after prison - CNN

Elizabeth Holmes, the disgraced former Theranos CEO, has “limited financial means” and should not be forced to pay $250 a month to victims of her crimes after she is released from prison, her lawyers argued in a court filing on Monday.

The move from Holmes’ attorneys comes after federal prosecutors said in a separate filing last week that “clerical errors” had resulted in no payment schedule being set for Holmes’ restitution after she is released from prison. Holmes and former Theranos COO Ramesh “Sunny” Balwani were previously ordered to pay $452 million in restitution to victims of their crimes.

Federal prosecutors asked that once Holmes is on supervised released, criminal monetary penalties should be paid monthly in the amount of $250, or at least 10% of her wages, whichever is greater.

In the latest filing, Holmes’ attorneys argued “there is no basis in the record for the payment structure in the government’s request,” but did not object to her being asked to start paying $25 per quarter as part of her restitution while she is in prison.

Holmes, once a paper billionaire, could hold a job at the Federal Prison Camp in Bryan, Texas, with hourly wages ranging from $0.12 to $1.15, according to the prison’s handbook.

Unreal.

She clearly has no intention of working after she's done with prison. Let's see the judge give her the what-for on that little scheme. She has to work so she can pay restitution.

Besides which, the $250/mo requirement is absurdly low. Though, she will be a horrible employee, what with the entitlement, lack of real-world skill, no employment history except while committing fraud. And she doesn't have a college degree: that will limit her options.

What happened to this?
" Holmes and former Theranos COO Ramesh “Sunny” Balwani were previously ordered to pay $452 million in restitution to victims of their crimes."

She should consider herself lucky she only has to pay $250/m to her victims!

This woman is seriously self absorbed and clueless.

I think she should have to donate 250 oz of her blood !

Who wants to hire a con-artist felon whose only work experience was a no-boss failed own-business?

If she's under supervision when she gets out, she's gonna have to work, yes? Burger King....

Lawyers for Elizabeth Holmes are objecting to proposed changes in her case that include $250 monthly payments to victims.

June 13, 2023, 10:00 PM EDT

The defense for disgraced biotech mogul Elizabeth Holmes, who once had an estimated net worth of $4.5 billion, is objecting to proposed changes in her case that include $250 monthly payments to victims.

In a filing in federal court in California, the team argued that implementing prosecutors' proposed restitution schedule would amount to a significant modification to the outcome of Holmes' fraud trial.

Last month, she told the New York Times that she would "have to work for the rest of my life to try to pay" even her legal bills, let alone restitution.

A thousand tiny violins should play for her
as she eats her honeybun from the vending machine & makes $1.15 an hour….

MOO

Maybe she should have thought about that before becoming a con artist and bilking people out of billions of dollars??? Just a thought.

Actually, it might take her 10 years to make that much. Her current pay is, like, $.15/hour? It would take 2 days of work to pay for one of those honeybuns....
