Today wasn’t as painful regarding the repetition. There was some but not like yesterday. LE wasn’t being intimidated like Austin was, it was great! They debunked the accusations of getting Austin to snitch on Monica.

The device data should be helpful in identifying that Monica was the driving force behind the murder. They did get rid of the burner phones but I think there is enough for reasonable doubt.

Her family and close friends have to see her phony acting and ridiculous faces.

I’m way behind watching the trial- day 4 (have followed the case since it happened tho). I will be surprised if she is not found guilty. Seems quite obvious she is guilty.

Anything newsworthy from today? I didn’t get to watch court today.

I'm still watching today's, near the end of the day an hour and a half recording of Baker and Monica talking (somewhere in jail), ugh.

Earlier the detective from the abbreviated Fri. session was on the stand, with lady defense attny trying to pick apart Austin's deal (and his implicating Monica), pretty annoying but prosecutor did a good job showing the facts of the matter for the jury.

Thanks so much! I was able to watch it everyday last week so I didn’t want to miss out on anything.

I wish Baker would testify and turn on her. He has nothing to lose. Why would he be so noble of a guy to save Monica by taking full responsibility for it? It’s not like we don’t already know that he is a murderer and predator.

YW :) I don't get why either, I understand him (while in jail) trying to get her to marry him, so she can't testify against him. But that was before he pleaded out, why he stands by her now is a mystery, he has nothing to gain.

And he'd look like the biggest liar (as well as murderer) getting on the stand and trying to sell that to the jury. He's better off not testifying if he isn't going to tell the truth about her involvement (which is extremely apparent).

There has to be a reason for him taking full responsibility. If there was a plea and he would be given the chance for parole after 30 years. At his age he would be old after release so it may not make a difference to him.

I’ve wondered if he feels like he wants to prove how much he ‘loves’ her. She isn’t going to want to be his wife while he is in prison.

@geevee and @Luna20, thanks for your take on it. Found what you both had to say very interesting. You both seem to know this case well.

Didn't get to watch it today. Things in such flux, with the time change, the WS color changes, and the political changes going on, my schedule is messed up and my mind is scrambled eggs. Had to run errands today before the storms hit.

I do want to see Baker testify, if he does really testify. Any idea when that might happen? It's not for sure yet?

Court TV didn't have a clip - so don't know if there was more witnesses on the stand yesterday...

On Monday, Corey Farell, a detective for LAPD took the stand once again. While he was on the stand, the defense attorney made it known that accused killer, Christopher Austin, did not know the name Monica Sementilli at the time of his arrest and that it was the District Attorney and an undercover agent that used the name Monica. After officers showed him a picture of Monica, Austin said he did not know that lady or recognize her. The defense is arguing that Austin only assumed that Rob Baker and Monica Sementilli were in contact at the time of the murder and that she was giving him a timeline of when the victim was alone.'

'Monica Sementilli is accused of murdering her husband, Fabio Sementilli, because she allegedly wanted to continue her affair with a new man and collect a $1.6 million life insurance policy. Fabio Sementilli was found stabbed to death inside their Woodland Hills home back in January of 2017. Monica Sementilli and her lover, Robert Baker, were arrested six months after the crime. Monica Sementilli is charged with murder and conspiracy. Baker pleaded no contest to the charges against him and was sentenced to life in prison.'

You are welcome and you made me laugh. I too am struggling with the time change and the site color changes.

It’s statistically proven that people are affected by the time change. I saw a great detailed article on it. As to not go off point, I will pm it to you.

As far as the site colors, I had to go back to the original. For my eyes there wasn’t enough contrast and it made my eyes strain.

This case is very interesting and I’m surprised that it doesn’t have more traction on the site. I know the Read trial hearings and Daybell’s are being closely followed though.

Monica’s case is unusual for a few reasons:

A detective did a good job sharing the secret communications between her and Baker. He is a 🤬🤬🤬🤬 star writer

Baker pleaded no contest and is assuming all blame. Not sure why he is protecting Monica when it could possibly affect his sentence to his advantage.

Her attorney is a low life who has bullied witnesses. It was very obvious, so I hope the jury knows what is behind this.

Detective Mitzi is back on

I’m watching it live on CT but I can’t understand the jail recording between them. It’s muffled.

Are you watching it?

I just started watching/listening, it's quite hard to make out a lot of what they say in the recording.

Niner - Det. Mitzi was on late yesterday afternoon, when this recording began.

I detest DST so yeah, not feeling all that fab just lately. Not to mention everything else going on.

Tuned in via my tv, and it's impossible to understand. Sounds like a bunch of demons talking all at once. Sure sounds like more than a couple of people. I'm getting nothing out of listening to this. Please tell me if you figure out what's being said.

Will do. They need to provide a transcript of that to the jury.

I wish it was loud and clear to embarrass her. She is scribbling away as though she is going to refute parts of it.
