No it was Twenty-nine Palms, close to marine base, on main thoroughfare

This is also what I suspect - she used her phone to take videos/photos but kept it in airplane mode. She could have possibly sent the snaps / vids only once she connected to Wi-Fi to save on data roaming charges (that’s what I do traveling internationally - I only use data if I absolutely need to). If her phone was in airplane mode, that would provide an alternative reason why calls went direct to VM. The phone may have been fully charged, but in airplane mode.

@mark1969 - do you know if JF was sharing photos and videos real time with her family? Or were they shared in batches at a different time?

On a related note, ifJF had her phone in airplane mode, the cellular radio in her phone would have been disabled, so her phone wouldn’t have been pinging cell towers along their journey.

I wonder if she had an eSIM (or SIM card) put on her phone, which seems commonly used for travel. From what I understand (and I may be mistaken, since I am tech-challenged!o_O), if you have eSIM you needn’t put it in airplane mode, allows you to access the internet, and there won’t be roaming charges.

If she did, I wonder if that makes it even more complicated to get any information regarding her phone usage or location. In another case where an American woman is missing in Japan (Pattie Wu Murad—still missing :(), the family was able to get into that account and saw how much data she had left on the eSIM, but that’s about it. For whatever reasons, they have not made headway with the mobile phone companies to obtain location data.

No Truck, no foul. My wishful thinking is Jin might already back in China.
She doesn't need to make a "public statement" in US.

Someone (Camela Leierth-Segura)
was "missing" for three months in LA and she is "found" two days ago. Her "disappearance" was intentional if I understand the article correctly.

Wishful thinking, but not likely, in this case.
We have a Verified Insider here on Fang’s thread ( @mark1969 ) who is close to the family, and I feel he would not be still posting here and also would hopefully let us know if that were so.

Sorry to disappoint you but Fang is still missing and did not went back to China , nor did she contacted her 2 girls who in meantime had their birthdays , and she never missed 1 birthday of them .....

What!? According to the article, JRF was found dead in September. Jin is still missing.

@mark1969, has the family been notified about this? Is she still listed as voluntarily missing? I can't believe at least 12 days and up to 40 days has passed and this is the first mention of his death.

The state of the vehicle, the details around the discovery of him has to point to what could've happened to her.

My mind goes to HDV.... murder/suicide, two locations.

Wow, I’m surprised that he was found. It seems like such a vast expanse of land. I hope there is progress for Jin Fangs family also.
