OAKLAND — The organization that continues the search for Hasanni Campbell will hold a child safety fair Saturday to mark the 11 months he has been missing.
The Fremont boy's then-foster father, Louis Ross, told police he left the child alone when he went to the front of the store to alert Jennifer Campbell, the boy's aunt and then-foster mother, that he had arrived to drop off Hasanni and the boy's 1-year-old sister.
The boy has not been seen since. The couple lost custody of the girl and have not been seen or heard from in many months. It is believed they have left the area.
Citizens for the Lost, a nonprofit established after Hasanni's disappearance, is teaming up with the East Bay Chevs Car Club for a car show, safety fair and barbecue from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday at the College Avenue Presbyterian Church, 5951 College Ave.
All proceeds will go toward the continuing search for Hasanni, organizer Sherri-Lyn Miller said.
