Plead not guilty. $150K bond & changed to $200K (9/29/20).
Montana told police an unknown woman entered the residence on Saturday & took his granddaughter from a playpen, where the child was sleeping. A tussle ensued & Mrs. Montana was able to safely pry the child out of the suspect’s arm.
9/26/20 Update: Dalzell is being held at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood on $150,000 bail, with a court date scheduled for 9/29/20 Tuesday morning. 9/29/20 Update: Arraignment hearing. Plead not guilty. Dalzell's bail was set at $200K & she was told to return to court Oct. 20. She could get 8 years in prison if convicted as charged. She has no previous criminal record.
10/20/20 Update: Preliminary Setting Hearing was reset to 10/28/20.

Sodsai Dalzell, 39, was released from jail at around 4:30 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s inmate information page. The charges against her were also dismissed, the LASD website read.

It’s unclear why the charges were dropped.

If convicted, Dalzell could face a maximum prison sentence of up to 8 years.

Did I read it correctly? They dropped the charges against her, she was taken to an hospital and then they charged her again? That doesn't make much sense, does it?

I suspect this poor woman had some sort of mental health episode and did not have any real intentions of kidnapping the baby.
