Hopefully we will hear if there was a knife in the grave..

IMO from what I've read in WS over the years, a strike to the head that results in a death does not necessarily leave a mass of blood - would depend on the frenzy of the attack I suspect.
How the bodies were handled post mortem would also be a consideration in relation to damage inflicted on a skeleton.
As the hammer was recovered from one of the graves, imo - there could well have been further frustration released in anger, by he who wielded the hammer.

The bra is interesting dilemma to me as it does to
point to her being alive at the grave site.

Why on earth if she was dead would you cut the bra in two in at the grave site?!!

Also how does this tie in with the paint splatter on the bra as the prosecution claim that means she was laying sideways when Chase painted in the home?!

Sgt. Avila testified that Grave B was 18" deep. He would have gotten away with this murder IF he had buried them deeper. Thank whoever for the dirt bike rider that ran across the exposed skull, otherwise this monster would still be running the streets, IMO.

This testimony is so gruesome. What is the defense's point on this? How does the depth of all their remains help the defendant? All I am hearing is how this family was brutally murdered. Little boys! Buried in the desert like trash.

Absolutely certain of it.

In the Probable Cause Search Warrant from SDSO, DK stated that JM was about to fire CM because of his gambling debts/owing vendors from their business. He stated JM had previously covered a $30,000 gambling debt for CM and JM was finished covering his debts. Just a fact from the Search Warrant Application.

The one thing that POINTS to CM as the killer/accomplice: His Cell Phone records place him at their gravesites, when no one else who was investigated in this crime was. He F'd up, probably due to the enormous stress he was under to get rid of their bodies. That ALONE should be enough for a guilty verdict.

#McStay - Defense attorney James McGee now cross examining Hart. Hart says he can not say say what time frame the tire tracks would have first been there.

The defense is trying to "undo" Sgt. Avila's testimony, aka impeach him on something seminal, IMO.

Well I am just a regular person. And were I on the jury, none of this would sit well with me.

Let's hope their common sense will be able to see what he is doing. It IS his job to fight for the defendant, no matter how twisted his ???'s are. I believe they will.

This forum does not have a poll feature I guess? I'm curious if there is a consensus so far re:
1. Do you believe Merritt is guilty?
2. Do you think one person, or more than one, committed the murders?
3. Where do you think the family were killed?

AFAIK so far there has not been any substantial evidence linking him to the murders.
I’m leaning towards a conspiracy involving DK and CM.
