Thursday, Dec. 13th:
*Further Proceedings Hearing (@ 8:30am PT) – CA – Lisa Marie Naegle (36) (Dec. 18, 2016, Torrance) – *Jackie Jerome Rogers (34) charged (12/20/16) with murder. Plead not guilty. Bail $2,020,000.
Confessed to murder & lead LE to where body buried. Trial was supposed to start 7/3/18, then moved to 9/10/18.
9/24/18 Update Day 11: After 3 days of deliberations, a Torrance Superior Court jury found Jackie Jerome Rogers, 35, guilty of first-degree murder. Jurors also found true the allegation that Rogers used a hammer in the killing. Sentencing scheduled for 10/25. Could face up to a maximum sentence of 26 years to life in prison.
10/25/18 Update: Sentencing has been postponed. Judge granted a new defense attorney on 10/25 & to return on 12/13. New attorney could file appeal or ask for a new trial within 60 days. No sentencing on 12/13, just further proceedings hearing today.
