Identified! CA - Long Beach - WhtMale 15-19 - 1392UMCA - 'Paid' stamp on hand- Jun'78 - Kenneth Nevada Williams

Thanks, I didn't notice he was ruled out.
Also, Hazel is not specific to one eye colour. Hazel is a mixture. It doesn't always mean brown. My eyes are Hazel blue. I have a combination of 3 eye colours - blue/green with a tiny brown ring.

Bump*

BTW I think this descendents paid stamp may be from him attending a Bob Dylan Concert the day before he was discovered. Bob Dylan played at the LA Amphitheater June 2nd 1978. Only a 22 minute drive from where the body was found.

Not sure where we can take that. Hopefully somewhere.

There was a witness that I read about in a blog that had potentially seen him at a gay bar that night. There was a gay club called "CLUB RIPPLES" that was located nearby. How nearby? Right around the block. A 5 minute walk from where the unidentified was found between E. Division and Corona St. Where the unidentified was found deceased.
5 minute walk down the alley. Maybe the killer lured him outside, down the alley, then killed him and drove away.
The deceased had that 'PAID" ink stamp on his hand that is the type they give to entry at clubs. Does anyone know if Club Ripple used the same stamping system in the 70s?
By the way, this is the type of thing Dahmer would do, going to a gay bar and luring victims home. Our killer isn't a cannibal but seems to kill for thrill.
Here's the map of how far the walk from Club Ripple to where the body was found.
It's 0.3 miles away. A 5 minute walk

Since the body was found in between East Division St. and Cornado.
This made me think back to another incident I read about.
The disappearance of Sherry Jean Pickle in 1972
Sherry Jean Pickle, 15 years old, was last seen at the intersection of Coronado and Broadway only 6 min drive away from this unidentified male on May 16,1972.
Maybe there's a local that was killing teenagers in that area about that time.
Below is the distance from this unidentified male being found and the last known siting of Sherry Jean Pickle in 1972.
Maybe the killer was offering a ride to both.
Sherry was looking for a ride supposedly and there weren't any traced vehicles to this young man. (From what we've read)

Wow great point good find/connection

What if what witnesses said was true? The reports of people seeing him at a gay bar?Let's imagine the time back then. The late 1970s and the stigma of being gay was so HARSH that THAT the fear of backlash and scrutiny might be the reason his family never came forward.
Maybe they felt ashamed. Might've had religious prejudices toward that lifestyle. Maybe they were homophobic and didn't want to be known as the parents of the "dead Gay victim"
Maybe they had read about it in the paper that witnesses said they saw him at a gay bar. If the family was so in denial they might have issues with it, especially if he never CAME OUT to them..
maybe out of respect they didn't want to OUT him in death and change his legacy. My prayers that perhaps the gay community could help with this case if they know anything.
This young man DIDN'T deserve to die. All my prayers to his family.

Totally possible.

Even as recently as the 2016 Pulse Orlando club shooting, a father reportedly refused to claim his son's body 'because the son was gay. Because the father was ashamed'. Something similar could be at play here.

That's awful.
But, we can utilize the gay community to fry and identify this victim. His social circle. So we can establish Long Beach As one. Any other California gay communities that were in their teens at clubs might recognize him. They're usually close and perhaps could at least remember a first name. They'd be in their 60s by now. But it's worth a shot.

I applaud everyone's desire to give names to the victims. <modsnip>

MOO- no one's accusing the family of anything, it is just speculation, and I think it is relevant in a case like this. I think it is very possible that this was a young gay man who was disowned by his family, or in an otherwise similar situation. It is also true that he could have had a loving family who just didn't see a report. I don't think theorizing hurts anyone IMO.
