On October 31, 1967, a white male was shot and left in the hallway of a hotel in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California. He was a young man, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was estimated to be between twenty and thirty years of age when he died. He was five feet ten inches tall and weighed 148 pounds. He was wearing a white shirt, white boxers, suede shoes, brown socks and tan pants when his body was found shortly after neighboring hotel guests heard the gunshot and reported the murder to police. The man had a distinct, foot long, scar on his abdomen.

I did this recon a couple of years ago, but there was no thread for him until this one was created. So now I can post his recon here.

Could someone edit the thread title? He looks more White than Hispanic. Also, he had a distinctive scar on his abdomen.

Has anyone heard anything about whether he's been identified or not?

I wonder if someone could call the Los Angeles Police Department and ask them if they are going to release his identity.

According to Daniel Machian of the LA County Coroner's Office, he has been ID'd. But so far, they have not been able to locate any next-of-kin.

They will not release his ID publicly until NOK had been notified.

Thanks for asking Carl. I hope they're able to find his NOK.

I wonder if they're still attempting to locate his next of kin.

I hope so. Seeing it's been so long since they've identified him. I wonder if he's from out of the country. Also, I wonder how they id'ed him. Especially without knowing any next of kin.
