I was reading through the last thread and saw again tvscum's post (thread 1, page 46, post#917) showing Dia's properties from above, and your post #944, respectfully snipped:
...I do not believe that Dia could have been surprised by an unknown person with her dog Ruby not warning her. I believe KH would have also known someone had arrived on the property.
With all I know I still have a feeling that Dia did not disappear from the Bonita Vista Ranch...
I want to explore this idea. Could she have been hurt, or taken from, a different one of her properties? I don't know how well those places were searched. Were they searched? Surely they were searched?
You have said that Dia didn't get around easily, because of her physical condition (past injuries/surgery) and also that she was afraid of at least one of her tenants. What might have caused her to go to one of her properties, presumably alone and without her dog, purse, or telephone? Were her cars accounted for, do we know? She either drove away, or rode a horse, or walked, or someone drove her away. Physically, I mean. Did KH have a car? Did Ysidro? Who would know, KH? Maybe we should ask him.
I know we've already talked about some of this, I'm sorry, it's just that I got distracted by the pot stuff, and I skipped past what you all seem to be saying. So. I want to re-focus.
What I know about Dia, from these threads: She carried a gun and was prepared to use it. She wanted/needed help with the ranch, employed Ysidro, was estranged from her husband, afraid of her son, and had disinherited her daughter. She owned properties, three (or 4?), was challenging her pre-nup in court, appears to have created/updated/modified/signed trust documents and secretly named two relative strangers trustees of her estate, two weeks before she disappeared. She had a Karen neighbor that she argued with. She baked muffins for another neighbor, the same day she disappeared. She owned enough antiques to want to go into business with them, never went anywhere without her loyal dog, and she had a relationship of some sort with KH. She played bunko weekly, rode horses only with Ysidro, loved burros, had jewelry in a safe, needed money to fund the ranch. She promoted the ranch as a wedding venue, had limited use of social media (but 2 facebook accounts), and was active in community. She travelled with KH to several western states. She liked beautiful, expensive boots. She tended horses daily. She was afraid, isolated, and without family she trusted. Some of her property was used to grow mj illegally.
