OAKLAND — A judge on Friday delayed a decision over whether former Ghost Ship warehouse master tenant Derick Almena would have his probation revoked for allegedly possessing weapons in his Ukiah home.

Alameda County Superior Court Judge C. Don Clay said he wanted to hold an evidentiary hearing before making a decision on the case, which could land Almena, 52, back in jail. Clay asked prosecutors and Almena’s attorney, Tony Serra, to appear on Oct. 14 to set a date for that hearing.

7/23/21 Update: At a Friday morning court restitution hearing, master tenant Almena was ordered to pay $209K in restitution, which comes out to about $5,800 for each of the 36 fire victims. The remaining $5.6 million was split between attorney fees & other court costs, according to an Alameda County District Attorney spokeswoman. The money is intended to cover funeral costs and the cost of victims’ lost property, the spokeswoman said. Almena was not present at hearing.
9/16/22 Update: On 9/1/22, Alameda County prosecutors formally began the process of revoking Almena’s probation after he was allegedly found with deadly weapons during an 8/25/22 probation search of his Ukiah home. Mendocino County probation officers found a machete, 10 bows, more than 50 arrows & an “unsecured” live .38-caliber round on top of a dresser, court records say. Alameda County Superior Court Judge C. Don Clay on Friday, 9/16/22 delayed a decision over whether Almena would have his probation revoked for allegedly possessing weapons in his Ukiah home. Judge C. Don Clay said he wanted to hold an evidentiary hearing before making a decision on the case, which could land Almena back in jail. Judge Clay asked prosecutors & Almena’s attorney, Tony Serra, to appear on 10/14/22 to set a date for that hearing.

I noticed the what type of hearing it is:

Hearing After Revocation of Probation

Does that mean he is back in jail? Or they are going to have a hearing regarding putting him back.
Wish I could find some articles to see what they say...

Yeah, I’ve been looking too. I hope he’s busted. We should see something in msm over the next couple days. I hope.

Okay - I am going to change my mind about him being in jail right now. The hearing was to set an evidentiary hearing date - so that is what they did - on 12/16/22. Let's HOPE the Judge agrees with the State's motion!!

An Alameda County Superior Court judge on Friday ruled that the former Ghost Ship master tenant Derick Almena will not get extra jail time for having bows and arrows and other weapons in his home.
...
And his wife told KGO 7 that probation officers found the bullet on an altar she erected in their Ukiah home, which she placed it next to the Buddha to remember those who have died from gun violence.
