''Owners of a home connected to Bruce McArthur held an emotional remembrance for the victims of the serial killer on the second anniversary of his arrest with the message being, we haven't forgotten.''

HUNTER: How many did Bruce McArthur really kill?
''The rotund landscaping ghoul and former travelling sock salesman is reportedly in failing health and death may come sooner than later.''

“Other than if you believe he’s responsible for the gay strip murders in the 1970s… and many people do… there’s this huge gap in his life from the late 1970s to when he came out of the closet in the early 1990s,” said cold case expert Michael Arntfield, a professor at Western University.

“You have to remember, he was doing his killing carefully, successfully. That didn’t happen over night.”

This murder victim, found in 1989, has the earmarks of Bruce McArthur victims. OPP
''The only hope to bring closure to families whose loved ones have been missing or whose cases have gone unsolved for decades is if it turns out McArthur was involved and that he “does a Samuel Little” and starts talking. Maybe for his conscience. Maybe for his family.''

I don't know how to take this article. There are likely true elements to it...with upper brass dumping blame on regular officers.

But, I do wonder if this guy actually stood up for the gay victim(s).
I also wonder about Warmington (the writer of the article) himself. Warmington has not exactly been a supporter of minority victims. One case, where a woman of east Indian descent, disappeared, and he quickly dropped the story. Another time, he seemed to be blaming immigrants, given refugee space in a hotel. When I asked him, he never responded.
No matter...pls let people be safe.

Bruce M is referenced briefly in this article in which Det. Idsinga is investigating the possibility that two recent murders may be related, possibly by a serial killer.
Unrelated to Bruce M, just noting that the two recently murdered men are bearded and darker complected, not unlike BM's victims.
If it turns out to be true that an sk is on the loose and targeting a certain type, will look into other missing and murdered men that were suggested as possible BM victims, but ultimately turned out not to be connected.
    fwiw, imo, speculation.
Could Toronto be dealing with a serial killer?
    Sept 14 2020
''Could Toronto be dealing with a serial killer?
That isn't out of the realm of possibilty, according to Toronto Police, after two men were found stabbed to death in the same area, only days apart''.

''The last time Toronto Police admitted they had a serial killer on their hands was Bruce McArthur, who was arrested in 2018 and later found guilty in the deaths of eight men.

"I don't want to raise any fear or any panic, I just want people to be aware that this is something that we're looking at, the possibility that these are connected," says Idsinga. "We need people to be aware of their surroundings."
    Ws threads..

Missing persons review expected to call for ‘extensive’ changes in wake of Toronto police handling of Bruce McArthur case
''A former Ontario judge is expected to make “extensive” recommendations for changes to how police conduct missing persons probes, after accessing never-before-seen police records and interviewing more than four dozen officers in the wake of the Bruce McArthur case.

Retired Court of Appeal Justice Gloria Epstein is in the final stretch of her high-profile review of how Toronto police handle missing persons cases, a probe launched amid public outrage over the investigation into McArthur, who killed eight men from the city’s Gay Village between 2010 and 2017.''

'Serious flaws' in how Toronto Police conduct missing person probes | Toronto Sun
''The review by retired Ontario Court of Appeal Justice Gloria Epstein found “police could have done better” to stop gardener Bruce McArthur’s seven-year “reign of terror” in Toronto’s Gay Village where he was able to murder eight men between 2010 and 2017. All his victims were gay or bisexual and all but two were people of colour.''
