Wondering if someone for some selfish reason , did not want this couple to move on and fulfill each of their dreams?
LE say the murders were targeted, wonder why each of the bodies were placed separately, yet both were located by a well site?
    imo, speculation.rbbm

This is so tragic and sad and there is nothing to indicate that these teens were anything but good. And yes dotr, is it not just a little strange that they would each be left at their own wellsite? Who the hell does that s***? Why put the effort and take the risk of transportation to leave these two beautiful young souls at two different locations that are basically the same in structure and purpose? I don't know why but it brings back thoughts of Renee Gunning and Krystle Knott.

I can't imagine why anyone would want to do something like this. Guess I will read about Renee and Krystle and learn more about all this. I hope they catch the killers and soon!

It seems like such a small community and that should make identifying the killer relatively easy. Although sometimes small communities don't like to air their secrets either. Hope that won't be the case here.

I'm not indicating that the same person or person's are responsible, just that Renee and Krystle came to mind. Maybe same general vicinity as in that north territory and perhaps because... I believe it was the last time that two were left murdered in that vicinity.

"First Nations families of 2 slain teens say police didn't take them seriously"
CBC Posted: Jul 29, 2016 6:38 PM MT
"We don't know what kind of monster this person is. We don't know who his next victim is, who his next target is."

Is this to be understood that the families are completely baffled as to who would do this? And yet the RCMP sound quite confident in their initial investigation as in "someone they were connected to." Imo, there would seem to be quite a bit of ground to cover between the families and RCMP's perspectives and it seems as if it's the same old ground that we're going over on behalf of both the families and the RCMP. Now, the kicker that there is no way to get around for K-Division is the fact that the victims were found at 2 different well sites which is a little more than odd for an internal connection. And where exactly does the well site theme originate from as applied to an expansive bush area?

To be very clear, there is absolutely nothing to indicate any connection between this case and the Renee Gunning / Krystle Knott case.

Thank you dotr for providing members with the link to the Gunning / Knott thread.

snippets from The Edmonton Journal ...

".. the couple were all set to move to Slave Lake, where they were had been accepted into Northern Lights College. Dylan Laboucan was going to study power engineering and Grey was going to take early childhood education.

Though no suspects have been arrested, Glavin said he doesn’t think people in the community need to be “unduly” frightened.

“We have a focused investigation and we’re looking at all the possible people,” he said.
