''Investigators sid she was last seen exiting Little's building, 187 Park Street South, on Friday, May 15.

Little was found dead in her apartment the next day. Investigators said she did not know the suspect.

Police said Shingebis was wearing a red long-sleeved blouse, grey yoga pants, white socks, black casual shoes and was wrapped in a blue knitted blanket when she left the building that Friday.

Investigators describe Shingebis as a 5'4" woman with a medium build and collar-length hair. They also note she has a transient lifestyle and is originally from the Thunder Bay area.

Officers have warned the public not to approach Shingebis if they spot her, and to call 911 immediately.''

Why is this (allegedly) violent person not in jail?!
Not only was one of the homicide victims brutally assaulted, but burned too.
From link, thanks..rbbm.

''Police discovered the victim’s burned remains in a wooded area near Field Street and police said Oskineegish was the victim of a violent assault.

Larissa Shingebis, 20; Felton Sakanee, 26, Kevin Wabason, 38; James Chapais, 33; Christopher Meeseetawagesic, 25; and Keith Mishenene, 21, were all charged with second-degree murder in relation to the incident''.

It looks like she has been involved in criminal stuff for a long, long time. She's still pretty young. What I don't understand is why she went out of her way to kill a 79-year-old lady in her own home. She didn't even know her. This is insane.

Thanks dotr! Your link has been updated & she has been arrested at a homeless shelter. So Gladys apparently let her in since they weren’t previously acquainted.

Mug shot - her face looks terribly swollen......

Hamilton's fifth homicide victim of 2020 is 79-year-old Gladys Little.

Suspect arrested in ‘random and violent’ slaying of Gladys Little
''Police say they received a tip from a local shelter Sunday morning where Shingebis was staying. Officers found Shingebis at the shelter and arrested her without incident.''

Homeless with drug and alcohol abuse problems and a history of violence, I'm thinking there is some mental illness tossed in there as well, perhaps undiagnosed and definitely not treated. Insane indeed (IMO) and a pity all the way around but especially for Gladys Little.

Outcome of prior manslaughter charges against this accused:

A 22-year-old woman has been released on time served for her role in the July 2014 death of 44-year-old Lloyd Oskineegish.

Larissa Shingabis was facing a charge of manslaughter in the July 18, 2014 incident that claimed the life of Oskineegish in a wooded area off of Field Street.

On Tuesday, she pleaded guilty at the Thunder Bay Courthouse to the lesser charge of assault with a weapon and was sentenced to two years and one month, which was credited as time served pre-trial.

HUNTER: Violence a constant companion for accused Hamilton killer
''The boozy group had come to a consensus that Lloyd Oskineegish was a sexual predator''.
''Cops say it kicked off with Larissa Shingabis smashing the unconscious man over the head with an empty bottle of booze. It got worse and the others began inflicting a vicious beatdown on the prone man.

At one point, someone decided to set Oskineegish ablaze. They didn’t know he was already dead from the booze and the beating.''

''During another assault trial in Thunder Bay, details of the member of the Osnaburgh Indian Reserve in Northwestern Ontario’s rotten life were laid bare and read into the record.''

Before things came off the rails in Thunder Bay, Shingebis had previously been convicted in Cat Lake of assaulting a cop.

She was probably doomed to a life on the periphery from the moment she took her first breath.''

''Now she faces charges in the murder of Gladys Little who cops say had the lousy luck of opening her door to the wrong person at the wrong time.''

From articles linked above, it almost seems as if Shingabis was the initiator of the brutal attack on Oskineegish which ultimately resulted in his death, but yet she got off with a relatively minor conviction and sentence while others involved were convicted of manslaughter. Her role was considered minor but would it even have happened if she had not inflamed the situation by striking the first blow? imo.

It is so swollen that I wonder if the has kidney issues (most of swelling is under the eyes). Alternatively, could be untreated Hashimoto’s. Very likely, alcohol and meth, too. Definitely, she doesn’t have regular medical help. Very sad.

Still nothing? So very sad. Gladys' BIL, her younger sister's husband passed away last year and her dear sister is in a home now, with I believe Alzheimer's and is still wondering wth happened to Gladys. We were given old style giant dark purple bearded iris bulbs from Bruce, treasured in our garden. He was very talented.
