"Over $200,000 in stolen property recovered following investigation into residential entries

The Hamilton Police have arrested a 23-year-old Hamilton man following an ongoing investigation in relation to residential entries in the East End and Mountain areas of Hamilton.

In late July of 2014, the entries were determined to be linked and a joint investigation involving the detectives of the Division Three and Division Two Criminal Investigation Division commenced.
Over the course of four months random houses were broken into by an unknown male. Targeted items were stolen including jewelry, cell phones, tablets and women's undergarments. During the course of the investigation a suspect was identified through forensic analysis and determined to be responsible for all entries.

On November 13th, 2014 Hamilton Police executed a search warrant at an East End home. This warrant resulted in the seizure of approximately $200,000 worth of jewelry and other electronic items as well as over 150 pairs of women's undergarments.

Detectives are now following up on the recovered stolen property in an attempt to identify and return it to the rightful owners.
Hamilton Police continue to investigate and additional charges are pending.

A 23-year-old Hamilton man was arrested and held for a bail hearing.
Charged: Alexander DZONOV, 23 yrs of Hamilton

"Pervy Hamilton prowler’s take: jewelery, electronics & lingerie"

"Det-Sgt Glenn Jarvie “I know it is disturbing and that was one of the considerations that we had when we were doing the investigation.”

“That is what brought it to the forefront, along with the modus operandi of the accused that identified the pattern between the entries for our crime analyst.”

Jewelery, sunglasses, cellphones and other electronics were also stolen during six entries. Investigators are looking at between 20 and 30 other linked burglaries.

Police have been investigating the daytime break-ins for 4 months. On Thursday they searched a home on Weir St S, found the loot and arrested a suspect."

Mohawk College. He's on facebook. He seems to be the type of creep who likes expensive things. I bet he's a shoplifter too.
