So she was in a pet-friendly hotel but basically abandoned her dog at her parents' place. Was she moving on to somewhere she couldn't have her dog? What other reasons might there be for her to make the decision to leave the dog behind? (i.e. money, travel, suicide)??

I wonder if the dog was dropped off at the parents house while they were out. Did they actually see Laura drop the dog off ?

I cant remember where I read this, but I THOUGHT the parents came home to the dog being there.. however this article says she dropped the dog off unannounced but doesnt say whether they were home or not..

ETA: Her pet was initially important enough to her that she ended up in less than stellar accommodation, so I find it strange that she would turn around and leave it.

Does anyone know if she left belongings behind? Were clothes packed? Did she mention to any of her close friends that she was going away? Did LE search her room after her disappearance? If so, what did they find? If they did or didn't find anything why isn't that disclosed? Does anyone here know anything about this?

There's a significant difference between having your own pet while living at your parent's place and caring for said pet when you're out and about on your own. She'd have left pooch with her family because she found someplace to live that doesn't allow pets or, more likely, imo, because she went to the States - didn't her friends say she might have gone to Las Vegas? (no, i don't have a link at hand) or even Europe. You can't be crossing borders with a pet that doesn't have all the requisite shots and papers, etc. all of which costs money and time.

As far as the LE obligue reference to "other contacts" following the DM phone records, there are obviously other ways to be in touch with somebody than by phone. Given that LE mentioned her online escort presence, one assumes that the link to additional person or persons was made through investigating that angle - who had she seen and when - and possibly even interviewing clients, IMO.

Your absolutely right. Could very well be. That's why I said I wasn't sure in my quick search the one friend that has a picture one the friend list, if I recall correctly, one of that persons friend has a handle "ss" again not sure but I know I have seen those initials here before. So thought it could be him.

Could be something totally unrelated and not linked into this at all
Just thought if someone was bored they could look into it

In a previous thread someone posted about a Twitter comment of someone asking about R which here I gathered was assumed to mean LB's alias ER. However, I have been going through pics of friends (named in MSM) of DM on his FB (link above) and there are a couple friends with the R name so we can't assume that the comment was referring to LB.

IIRC, SL said that LB took his iPad. On the iPad under settings>privacy there is location services. If that is turned on, SL could use it to find his iPad. There is also an app called Find My iPhone to find any iPhone, iPad, iPod touch or Mac that he or LE could use to find his iPad using another iOS device. While finding the iPad does not necessarily mean that is where LB is but it may give a clue to her general location. If someone else has the iPad then perhaps they may have information where she it. I doubt it but it is a possibility.

If I'm not mistaken, the only friend LE has publicly cleared is AM, and that was only because a reporter specifically asked about him at a press conference.

I don't understand why so many people insist on criticizing the ex-boyfriend.

What more do you want from the guy? I'm sure he would have sent her home or to the Best Western in a better neighburhood if that had been an option. The choice of hotel was probably made for many reasons.

Please oh please can we leave SL alone. He's been nothing but a loyal friend.

YES! I 100% whole heartedly agree!!! If something ever happened to me, I'd only be so lucky to have someone like him on my side. Laura, if you're reading, come home, or contact him and marry him!
