''No new leads have been found in the search for a missing Bathurst teenager, but an official says search crews are also looking for evidence in the event there are future criminal proceedings.

City of Bathurst spokesperson Luc Foulem said Madison Roy-Boudreau's disappearance is being investigated as "a suspicious act," and so investigators are limiting the amount of information released to the public to ensure any of those potential proceedings are not compromised.

"In our particular case, we're not talking about a missing person report. We've been investigating this as a suspicious act, and we have to make sure that people understand that nuance in the sense that we're not only looking for Madison Roy-Boudreau, we're also looking for evidence that would be used in criminal proceedings that would be followed up in the next while," said Foulem, in an interview Friday.

''Police said the pickup truck was seized, but won't reveal information about the owner, or whether they have theories about Roy-Boudreau's disappearance.''

''Roy-Boudreau is five feet four inches tall and 119 pounds, with brown eyes and medium-length brown hair. ''

This is local to my hometown (Miramichi) although I'm now living in Grand Barachois.

Trying to find updates as the radio just stated the quarry search is shot down for a spell:

CBC has it:
Search of Bathurst quarry for teenage girl could take days, but city hopeful | CBC News
Nothing turned up thus far in quarry search:
Bathurst quarry search yields no signs of missing teenage girl | CBC News

And temporarily suspended - weather is terrible here right now - severe thunder/lightening/extremely strong winds:

But, quarry is being kept sealed off until they can resume:

''A decision on whether to resume the search will be made Sunday.

About 30 members of the RCMP, Bathurst Police and search and rescue organizations had been searching the quarry site near Highway 11 and St. Anne Street.''

''Jason Boudreau, Madison's father, spoke to Radio-Canada. He said he appreciates all the work that's being done to find his daughter.

He said he has been participating in search efforts and is in frequent contact with the police.

He still holds out hope that his daughter will be found safe and sound and urges anyone who has information on her disappearance to contact police.''

''Anyone with information is asked to contact the Bathurst police at 506-548-0420 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.''

There is very limited information being given in this case and since officers have the truck, I will assume there is something found there that isn't good. I hope the rain clears soon so searches can continue and this case can be solved.
