Roger Paul Bertrand
Case Classification: Endangered Missing
Missing Since: November 11, 1999
Location Last Seen: Hanmer, Ontario, Canada
Description:
Bertrand went missing from Hanmer, Ontario on November 11, 1999. He was last seen leaving his residence on Dutrisac Road between 10:00 - 11:30 AM and has never been heard from again.
Bertrand had the habit of leaving for months at a time so his disappearance went unnoticed at first. He appeared nervous the week before he went missing, as he was scheduled to testify as a material witness in a case where the suspect was accused of trying to hire someone to murder his wife.
Bertrand was brilliant at repairing electronics and had a passion for HAM Radio. He worked in construction and for Ernie's Signs before an injury left him with back pain. He was on a disability pension at the time and requires a brace and a cane to walk, however, those items were left behind at his residence.
Officials have not connected a link between Bertrand's disappearance and the court case. Foul play is suspected in his case and his whereabouts remain unknown.
