.... A worker has discovered a woman’s body in a ditch near Balzac.
....
“We went down to take a look at it and it actually was a dead body and it looks like it’s been sitting there for a little while, naked, three-quarters naked,” xxxx said.

Twshp 264 intersects with RR 284 and 290... with a couple of small roads between.Google maps bite the big one. Yours looks better.
It's not really near either. Street view just shows fields. The fact the worker referred to the remains as a body makes me think JRN as opposed to SB. It is a remote area, kind of. There is lots of activity in the general vicinity. Easily accessible by back roads, and not far from Cross Iron Mills, the huge mall. Century Casino and Racetrack just opened not too long ago.

This makes me think of the report of the woman abducted two blocks from where JRN went missing... Jumping of your post...After thinking about this for a bit, I am still unsure. While I realize it is not "near" either place, it is still in the general vicinity. I used to drive these back roads all the time. No way it takes 18 mins to drive 10km, especially on the 566. There are houses and acreages and a fair bit of activity in this area. While "remote" location wise, I still find it odd that a body there for a little while wasn't noticed. I suppose the late fall/winter growth in the ditches may have played a part.
Newstalk: I agree completely. Frightening in many ways.

We have to be careful making assumptions based on the reports that the "body was there for some time" because it doesn't take long for a body exposed to the elements to decompose. Within a week, a body is unrecognizable if left exposed.

Like I said, it is often difficult for a layman to be able to determine how long a body has been decomposing. A "while" is a very broad term, given that they didn't state whether it was almost a skeleton or just badly decomposed."We went down to take a look at it and it actually was a dead body and it looks like its been sitting there for a little while, naked, three-quarters naked, Sid said."
